Lovely hotel with a good restaurant
An excellent hotel as a base for Charlevoix. The staff are friendly,professional and helpful. Our upstairs suite was spacious and very comfortable. The Hotel's restaurant is very good.

We liked the quaint, cozy, feel of our room on the third floor, however, walking up three flights of steep stairs with all our luggage was dizzying and difficult. The narrowness of the door frame to enter the bathroom was shockingly small. I understand that it’s an old house converted into and inn, however, if they want an excellent 5 star rating, then they should have porters to bring your luggage up and down.

While we were too late to enjoy dinner in dining room, we were able to dine next door at their new bistro and that was terrific. It was a lovely stay and I look forward to coming back.

This is a nice clean property that could use an elevator. It was hard for us eighty plus seniors to climb outdoor stairs with snow covered steps. There does not appear to be rooms on the first floor. They have an excellent dining room and impressive wine collection.

The best place in the area. 5 stars.
Fabulous. The room was Spotlessly clean. Their restaurant is excellent. In the evening we ate a great filet mignon that was perfectly cooked and the breakfast was excellent as well.

Room was nice but it was impossible to fall asleep before midnight because of the very loud kitchen cleaning between 11pm and midnight. Loud again by 7am and exterior door slamming shut by 7am as well. Restaurant staff downstairs oblivious to people trying to sleep upstairs.

Chez Truchon is easily the best place I have ever stayed in away from home. 0 complaints about it. The staff all speak english well, the staff is very friendly, I had an issue checking out but the front desk explained what I needed to do and it was perfect. The location is gorgeous, quiet, and safe. Just a perfect place in all areas! A must stay!

Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful views and stunningly beautiful area. Dining at the restaurant was an incredible experience. Delicious food. Highly recommended. Nit-picking: no recycle bins or facial tissues in the room.

Good hotel for a stay in Charlevoix
Nice and comfortable hotel in La Malbaie. Hotel was over our expectations with excellent beds, good but quite expensive breakfast (brunch on Sunday) and well cleaned room. Unfortunately, the highly prized restaurant by other customers, was already fully booked for the evening when we arrived at four in the afternoon as there are a lot of restaurant customers not staying in the hotel. Only possibility to have dinner already at 5:30, which was to early to us, but we could check the quality of food during brunch the next morning. Service in the restaurant and the hotel reception a little bit chaotic... Other negative point is that the hotel has no lift. Fortunately our room was at level +1.

Nice little hotel but one big problem.
The hotel does not have any elevator and our room was on the third floor. My husband who recently had an ankle operation had difficulty getting up the,stairs. We tried to cancel the room but could not and the hotel could not even give us a room at least on the second floor.
