I always look at Cleanliness first because I think it tells a lot about the rest of the property. This house was no acceptation. It was very clean, well equipped, and had such a comfortable bed that I wish we could have one of our own. Check in and communication was very smooth. The cottage was a delightful retreat for a long weekend in the off season. The beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. We took a walk down to the pier and enjoyed friendly atmospheres at all the Folly beach stores and restaurants. We were also a 30-minute drive to downtown Charleston and the harbor to see Fort Sumter and the Yorktown. The house was a cozy sanctuary with beautiful ocean views. It’s an older building, but you can’t beat the view, beach access, and quiet because it’s located at a dead end. Very clean. This cozy house was perfect for our adult family of 4 and our pet puppy Rosie. Close to Folly Beach retaurants and shops but far enough away to be peaceful...and the view/setting was incredible! We loved the house's charm and character. It had everything we needed and offered all the comforts. A neat addition (unless we overlooked it) would be a booklet for guests to review about the history of the house. May 12, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy #### beach perfection spent a week here with a friend and we both absolutely loved the house and enjoyed every minute of our stay. the house is clean, comfortable, spacious, charming, and exactly as described - it really does have pretty much everything you need. one thing to note that’s not listed in the description is that the owners have an “A/C policy,” which prohibits renters from lowering the house temperature below 72 in the summer months. our stay was during spring, but had we been staying in summer, this would have been a dealbreaker for us. obviously this is a matter of personal preference, but it’s one that people tend to have strong feelings about. it would be a good idea to state it up front so folks aren’t surprised upon arrival. ##### melanie w.
