Very dirty, very unsafe environment. Whole hotel smelled like Marijuana. Hotel staff was never there when you needed them. Would not return.

I've been staying here for the last 3-4 years in and out of town to see my family and has never experienced the problems I've had from my last visit. The day of check in the hotel ran my card 3 times for the payment of the room and i wasn't even in the city of Charleston yet nor was it anywhere near check in time. I called to asked them what the problem was and the person over the phone rudely told me "if you dont pay for the room right away your gonna lose your room". Secondly, for the last 3-4 years I've never paid a deposit for a room at this hotel. I was told that a $100 hold was gonna be on my card untill i check out which took a whole week to come back to my bank. I liked this hotel but it's time to find another when o come home for now on...

Overall happy with this day. Good value and everything was very clean. Could’ve used more towels and blanket. Ask for a blanket, but never got one.

Bathroom was dirty with drops of piss on the floor next to sanitary. Surrounding area very unsafe. It was very smelly in the corridors (cigarettes).

When I tell you, this is the worst property I’ve ever stayed at. I’ve never seen such a dirty unclean nasty Hotel in my life! Everything is outdated and old looking. Stains everywhere, just nasty and unclean! There front desk people dress and look any kind of way, they look like bums from off the street. They are very rude and unprofessional. You have to stand at the front desk for a long time and wait for somebody to come and help you. I even had items that were missing out of my room when I came back.THIEVES! I do not recommend this hotel. Don’t ever stay here. They are nasty, filthy, unprofessional, dirty, smelly, and rude!

The sheets of one of the beds looked really dirty (wrinkled, stray hairs, etc.). It creeped us out and colored our view of the cleanliness of the entire room. The other bed didn’t look great (the sheets looked well loved) but wasn’t as bad. The staff was friendly enough. The area was urban with a lot of nearby stores. It was about a half hour to downtown Charleston so we really only slept there.

We didn’t enjoy our stay at this location at all. The previous night we had stayed at a different Sleep Inn and enjoyed it so much, which is why we decided to book this location. Polar Opposites, we felt unsafe leaving our room to the point i was worried about my car being in the parking lot. We’re road tripping on a budget so leaving and risking loosing out on money wasn’t an option. The entire place was carpeted which is normally nice, not in this case. It was disgusting and you could tell it hadn’t even been vacuumed in a long ass time and had stains everywhere. To top it off, our room only had 1 towel, when i went to the desk to ask for another, they told me it would be about 30 minutes before i could get one. this was at 10:15 and check out is at 11. Our towel never came, my boyfriend ended up using the first one after me. The shower also had like no water pressure. Which i realize that isn’t their fault and they can’t do much to fix that but like… commonnnn

So the initial impression of the facility wasn't that bad. The staff was pleasant and helpful and remained so throughout our entire stay. The facilities were what made me give a downgraded rating. The halls smelled like pot smoke and so did our room. Almost to the point of being unbearable. In the space between on the beds and wall I found old drunk bottles and candy/food on the floor. I also went to use the hair dryer (which didn't work) and found it had something all over it and had not been properly cleaned. In all honesty I have staid at this hotel many times, but it has been a few years since my last stay. I am very disappointed with my stay. On the high side the staff were awesome, accommodating, and very friendly. Good to see that Charleston southern charm is still alive and well.

I don’t typically write poor reviews, but this stay was way below average. Our room was very dirty upon arrival, with multiple red and chunky stains all over our carpet and desk chair. Plus we had no cable, rendering the television useless. We looked past both of these issues because we found a concerning amount of black specks in our sink water. I will give major props to the staff who handled it quickly and kindly, thank you all for making our stay better (besides the one front desk worker who constantly acts like all the guests are inconveniencing him)

Short driving distance from Charleston. Nice size room, clean. We had a problem with the sink in the room, and it was fixed just a few minutes after I told the front desk lady about it.. great service.

Cmon down to the sleepless Inn where you'll be sure to not get to sleep until at least 1 am, even then you'll be awakened to screaming children and slamming doors at all hours of the night. Just about the worst hotel for noise I've ever stayed in. Plus we won't even give you a trash can in your room. At least the breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly.

Heather got us check-in. Heather was a very pleasant person, greeting us with smile, trying every means to accommodate our needs as my husband was very sensitive at smoke smell. Heather made us weekends staying this hotel, definitely. We would book this hotel again at our next visit to Charleston, because of HER.
