Simply respect your neighbors, keep the noise down and no parties. Welcome to Salty Shack B! This 2 BR/1 BATH unit sleeps 5 and is located across the street from the beach, as well as within walking distance to the heart of Folly Beach. It features an open floor plan that includes the kitchen, dining and living spaces, perfect for entertaining family or friends! This unit shares an adjoining door with unit A and can be rented together to make 4BR/2BA. Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island! The Space Bedroom 1: King, Shared Bathroom Bedroom 2: Queen, Shared Bathroom Living Room: Twin Sleeper, Smart TV Approximate Sq. Footage: 1145 Notes You must be at least 25 Years old to rent this home. Contactless Check-In: This home offers a keyless entry system, and we will provide the code before your arrival date. There is one reserved space that fits a standard sized vehicle We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use. Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am. The Folly Beach noise ordinance is from 10 pm to 8 am. Pets considered: All pets must be approved by our office before you arrive. Upon approval there is a $150 (plus tax) per pet nonrefundable pet fee that is due before you arrive. If not already on your reservation, it will be added. Once this is done and the fee paid, you will be all set to bring your pet with you (2 pet max, no more than 60 lbs. each, no puppies under 1 year old, no cats). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are subject to approval and fees prior to arrival. No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house. House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited. The occupancy can be at most 5 people at any time during your stay. We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking. 12 miles to Downtown Charleston. 22 miles to Charleston Airport. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. The tub should have some handles for a short person or someone older who has balance issues.Also , I personally could not reach the dryer so a stool would be great. ##### Karen R. We really enjoyed this rental! The property was super clean and very spacious. It was unseasonably cool the week we were on Folly but we appreciated that even when it was too chilly/windy on the beach, it was nice and toasty on the front porch. The location was pretty much as close to the beach as possible without being literally ocean-front, but it was also very close to Center St. so near restaurants etc. Ideal!The only downside is that the shared wall with Unit A (same building/other half of the downstairs) is pretty thin. I know both units have a noise monitor for loud music etc., but our neighbors had a toddler who we could hear crying/screaming when we were sitting in the living room. Amazing vibe in the entire neighborhood. Great communication from the renting management group. Only thing that was a problem was that we were the downstairs unit on the right and there is an adjoining door to the other apartment downstairs where we could hear every single thing people were saying who were also very noisy playing music and their television very loud. Not completely their fault…due to the door not being very soundproof. Other than that, we had a wonderful time if the neighbors weren’t loud and we could hear them we would’ve had a fabulous time. ##### heather s. It is one block from the beach which was wonderful so we didn't have to pack a lot to tote there. Very spacious. One recommendations would be to replace the king mattress. It is very worn out and caves on both sides with a lump in the middle. Thankfully we only had 2 people so this wasn't an issue. We ended up sleeping on the queen in the guest room, which was much more comfortable. I would also recommend deep cleaning the washing machine as there is some mildew build up that is visible and made clothes smell funny. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would rent again in the future. Felt very clean as well, which is comforting with COVID. MyOceanRental: Thank you for your review and feedback! We had a great few weeks at the Salty Shack! It was perfect for a couple with our toddler and dog. It is excellent for easy access to walking all over the island. The location is a great proximity to playgrounds and dog parks with our bikes and just a few steps to the beach. The house is fully outfitted for everything you need for a good old cute beach house that feels lived in, in the best way. It gave us the freedom for our toddler to look at her seashell collections on the porch everyday and to feel cozy in walking home. The home has an open layout which was another bonus for our little family and the bedrooms being located off to one side from the living area helped our kiddo to sleep uninterrupted. The outdoor umbrella and picnic table were where we stayed much of the time after our excursions and the internet access made it possible for me to work while we were there. Our dog enjoyed the easy walk down the few steps and having the outdoor shower was great for not tracking tons of sand into the house.
