Housed in an historic home dating to 1851, every detail has been fully renovated to feature antique heart pine flooring, tongue and groove walls, and European hardware dating to the original period of the home. This suite has a fully custom kitchen and beautiful living space. The Space: The floorplan is ideal for socializing with an open concept living room and eat-in kitchen on one end and the three bedrooms on the opposite end. The living room and kitchen look out on Cannon street, one of Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood’s most vibrant streets, home to many popular stores and restaurants all just steps from the suite. Off of this living room/kitchen area is a classic Charleston porch, offering guests an outdoor area to visit and people watch. All three bedrooms boast comfortable queen beds with plush bedding. Two of the three bedrooms feature full ensuite bathrooms. \*Please note this rental is located on the second floor and only accessible by (spiral staircase!) Absolutely no parties or late-night noise will be tolerated. Operating Permit: OP2025-06529 Guest Access: This suite has access to the large front porch with exclusive, dedicated seating, a private rear porch, and patio with Green Egg charcoal grill, complementary charcoal. Complimentary parking for one vehicle. The Neighborhood: The home is set in Cannonborough, an inviting downtown area blending historic and stylish residential homes. It’s steps away from the College of Charleston, as well as Upper King Street’s eateries and shopping. Getting Around: There is plenty to see and places to visit within walking distance. Uber and Lyft are readily available. Other Things to Note: We are three blocks from King Street, right in the middle of all Charlestonian activity. Incredible restaurants such as Southbound, Verns, 167 Raw, Malagon, Indaco, and Azur. Great places to have drinks are even closer at places like Felix, Stars, Babas, and Prohibition. There are also great niche restaurants closer than King Street, such as coastal Italian at Allora or creative Indian at Rivayat. If you want the full Charleston experience, a walking tour or carriage tour is a must. If you have sea legs and are aiming for total immersion into history, the steamboat runs to Ft. Sumter daily and you can land your two feet exactly where the Civil War started. The apartment has a nice vibe with interesting and unique design choices. The beds were very comfortable with high end linens. Both the front veranda and back porch are very comfortable with teak furniture and accessories. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic cookware and utensils to prepare meals if you choose to stay in and cook. Also, having a washer and dryer is a huge plus. We had a great week at Charleston. I recently had the most incredible stay at this VRBO property, and I cannot say enough good things about it! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning property that exceeded all our expectations. The location was perfect. The house itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, and it was clear that the hosts had put a lot of thought into making our experience unforgettable. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor space - the outdoor porches were amazing overlooking the Charleston homes. The hosts were exceptional - friendly, responsive, and genuinely committed to ensuring that we had a memorable stay. Their recommendations for local activities and dining were spot on, and added an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip. Overall, our experience at this VRBO property was nothing short of amazing. This VRBO caught our attention right from the start because of the gorgeous pictures. The location did not disappoint! It was a lovely property in a great location - close enough to everything we wanted to see, but in a residential area that was quiet and safe. We had a blast. We definitely felt pampered. The property was even better than the photos! Clean, spacious, welcoming, and warm. The deck/piazzas were amazing for lounging in the morning.
