Here, the wood-paneled ceilings stained in a deep mahogany, accompanied by hanging lantern lighting, create a serene and inviting space. Upon entry to your private first floor unit, you'll be greeted by an abundance of natural light, the kitchen's vibrant green floor-to-ceiling ceramic backsplash, a spacious living room, and heart pine flooring throughout. The kitchen is equipped with stainless-steel cooking appliances, basic cookware, quartz countertops, and seating for casual dining. Additionally, there is a small coffee bar complete with a 12-cup coffee pot, coffee, and flavored syrup to kickstart your mornings. The contemporary living room boasts an extra deep Crate and Barrel sofa, two sleek side chairs, and a smart TV for entertainment. The Victoria Suite provides two well-appointed bathrooms to meet your needs. Bathroom 1 offers a refreshing rain shower, a dual vanity with two mirrors, and a toilet equipped with a bidet. Bathroom 2 is an ensuite off the primary bedroom and features a convenient stand-up shower. Plush towels, hairdryer, and essential toiletries are provided Outside, the shared backyard is a tranquil oasis for mingling with friends, playing with your kids, or grilling fresh seafood. The green duplex has The Emerson Suite (top floor-3bd/1ba w/balcony) and The Charles Suite (first floor-2bd/1ba) and next door, the white duplex has The Harper Suite (top floor-3bd/1ba w/large balcony) and The Victoria Suite (first floor-3bd/2ba w/large porch). These two properties share a large professionally turfed backyard. Additionally, a half block down the street, we have another duplex with the Poppy Suite (top floor of grey duplex-3bd/1ba w/two balconies) and the Isla Suite (first floor-4bd/2ba w/porch), both of which share a professionally turfed courtyard. Be sure to check out the individual listings for a full list of amenities. QUIET HOURS Please note that this listing is situated on the first floor of a beautifully restored historic duplex. Although extensive renovations have been carried out, it is possible to hear occasional noise from the unit above. To ensure a peaceful and comfortable environment, sound machines have been thoughtfully provided in each bedroom. We kindly request that all guests show consideration towards one another by honoring our community's designated "quiet hours" between 10pm and 7am. By being mindful of noise levels during these times, we can maintain a harmonious atmosphere and ensure a restful stay for everyone. LAUNDRY Of our 6 units, this is our only unit without a washing machine/dryer. Please take note of this if you are considering a long stay. EVENTS Access to the property is restricted to only those individuals included in the reservation, unless prior arrangements have been made and agreed upon. NON SMOKING For the comfort and well-being of all guests, our property maintains a strict no-smoking policy. Smoking is prohibited on-site, and any violation of this policy will result in a charge of $250\. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a smoke-free environment. PARKING You will have one parking space in our private lot. Should your group want additional parking, please contact us to discuss options! We also have one Tesla charger which would need reserved ahead of time. PRE-APPROVED DOGS WELCOME We wholeheartedly embrace our furry friends! We gladly welcome pups to join you during your stay, with an additional fee of $80 per dog, and a maximum of two dogs per reservation. Because you will be staying in a recently renovated unit within a property that may have other guests, we kindly request that all dogs are well-behaved, trained, and considerate towards fellow humans. To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, we kindly ask that pets refrain from accessing the bed, uncovered furniture, and encourage the use of a crate when you are not present, if you believe it is necessary. By bringing your pet, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility and liability for their actions and any potential damages. For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, we kindly request that dogs are not allowed in the backyard. The yard has been professionally turfed to provide a pristine and pleasant outdoor space. Dog urine can create an unpleasant odor and potentially damage the turf. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping the backyard clean and odor-free for everyone's enjoyment. CAMERA SECURITY To ensure the safety and security of our property, we have installed exterior cameras. We want to reassure our guests that the footage captured by Ring cameras is strictly confidential and does not violate their privacy expectations. It is important to note that tampering with or obstructing the cameras is strictly prohibited. Any guest found attempting to disable or obscure the cameras may face immediate eviction without a refund. Our intention is solely to maintain a secure environment for everyone's peace of mind. INCLEMENT WEATHER We have a strict cancellation policy in place. Refunds will only be issued if mandatory evacuations are ordered by The National Weather Service or local government authorities. Please keep in mind that refunds will not be provided if inclement weather in other states prevents guests from reaching Charleston. We highly recommend travelers to consider obtaining travel insurance, especially during months when weather conditions may impact their stay. Furthermore, in the unlikely event of power outages, internet disruptions, or any other situations beyond our control caused by local storms, we will make every effort to resolve the issues promptly. It is charming, modern yet has a little Charleston historical feel to it! Just a 10 min walk to King street for all the shopping and dining, and a short drive to the marina and historic sites! We did it all on King St and beyond, had tea at Camilla’s, went to the beach, and did a sunset sail too! Kitchen was well equipped, we made dinner several times. The coffee bar was a nice touch too! Traveled with our two teens that enjoyed having their own rooms, we were all very comfortable. Wished for more storage in the master but made it work by moving things around and made use of hooks and hangers for clothes. Lots of plug in’s to charge your devices. Loved the big windows everywhere! Porch and backyard were lovely for relaxing and reading, just remember your bug spray after it rains, the no see ums were out in full force one morning! The showers/products were nice in the bathrooms. Check in was super easy, and the host was very accommodating and responsive when we had questions on arrival and departure. The location was perfect for our family with teen/adult children. The home was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I was able to jog to the battery in the morning and go around the corner to a variety of coffee shops! We arrived late and hungry so we walked around the corner to a local convenience store to grab some quick food to cook! The location was close to shops and eateries so we walked everywhere! King street shopping was also just a short walk away! The hosts were very responsive and we will definitely stay in one of their properties on our next visit! The house is beautiful and location was close to everything we wanted to do. The owners have thought of everything and made it so cute and comfortable. The ONLY drawback is that we were downstairs - and every step that the upstairs neighbors make can be heard downstairs. It wasn’t a problem until they decided to walk around and take showers late at night and woke all of us up. The owners are aware of this problem and provide sound machines and earplugs to help. Sleeping with earplugs is not an option for me. They eventually quieted down and we fell asleep again. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend the upstairs unit. We were so pleased to stay in the city in this beautifully decorated home. It had everything we needed, checking in was a breeze, and the hosts were extremely helpful. We would definitely stay again for longer next time. Our favorite part, aside from the decor/styling, was relaxing with a drink in the backyard while the kids played.
