We really enjoyed our stay at King in Five, Suite A. The property was clean, welcoming and well equipped. We liked the idea of staying in a true "Charleston Single" and being able to walk to town. We walked for bagels, ice cream, shopping, and biscuits. We walked to the DASH stop, which made it easy to cruise around town for free. We got off at the Pineapple fountain for some sun and gelato and walked to the City Market for lunch on an outdoor patio. We did walk to the College of Charleston and further down on King Street and the walk was a little far, but we got our steps in. We felt very safe the entire time; at the home and in town. The medical college is close, so you will hear helicopters at night and people walking/talking on the street, but it really felt like you were a part of the city. Overall, the neighborhood was quiet and very family friendly. Publix was a short drive for groceries. Would love to visit Charleston again and stay at the King in Five! ##### Kerri H. Bonus that the unit had a washer and dryer. The house definitely seems historic and there is some chipped paint inside. The main bedroom door is very loud which can be a concern with a sleeping baby. There were renters upstairs and when they were around you could hear a ton, from footsteps to voices and music even though they weren’t being excessively loud at all. The road noise can be loud at times as it’s on a fairly main road with the master bedroom facing the street. It wouldn’t be my first choice of properties for families, but we all managed to get some sleep and the location was otherwise convenient for getting around town. The porch is a nice place to relax.
