There's a spectacular view of Lake Palestine through out the main home. The oversized covered porch provides the perfect seating to view the lake and relax. Make some smores at the fire pit, or enjoy the new tanning deck by the pier and boat dock. A waterfront cottage and bungelow, that can sleep up to 6 guests in beds on Lake Palestine. Enjoy fishing on the pier or bring your boat and adventure out to all Lake Palestine has to offer. We purchased this property in September 2018\. So we've posted a few of the former owner reviews below. Please scroll down to see them. BYOB - Bring your own boat. There's a boat slip with a lift located on the pier. You can also fish off the private pier. The main house has a loft room (stairs to loft are steep) with queen size bed, 32" flat screen Smart TV and a 1/2 bath (curtain). The main floor is open concept and has a daybed with trundle that will sleep 2 and 32" flat screen smart tv with DVR. Kitchen with corian counter tops, large sink, and stainless steel appliances. There is a detached room with a king size bed and washer/dryer (no bathroom). Spend your nights gathered around the fire pit overlooking the panoramic views of the lake, cook some smores at the fire pit or steaks on the propane grill and your mornings on the porch and taking in the beautiful East Texas sunrise. The main house is 452 square feet and the bungelow is 200 square feet. Super adorable inside. I love this house, and I think you will love it too. This property is very quiet and peaceful. About Chandler, Tx Chandler is only 5 miles away with many restaurants and bars, grocery stores, and hardware stores. Zip lining only 25 minutes from Chandler. If you bring a boat make sure you do not go straight across lake or left, lake has many trees in this direction. Go right and stay close to docks and once you get to the cove you can go all out up to the bridge. Upstairs bedroom is great if you dont mind going up and down the steep staircase. The king suite is a bed only, very private, but if you need to go to the bathroom you have to go into the main cabin. My family loved it, on the 4th of July all the neighbors lit up the sky. Amy was great, If you dont mind lake water the water is just deep enough to be a little cold on your toes. This is a great little lake house, if you like to cookout and sit by a firepit, you will love it. Great views overlooking lake from patio and boat dock. Lake got really rough during rain storms you really have to tie down your personal water craft, we had 45 lb anchor and the waves moved the boat. It was a little to windy to use the fire pit but the breeze is always welcome in late June. This is the nicest place around, we enjoyed the large parking area, Plenty of room for my Tahoe, two trucks with trailers. It was nice to keep our boat in the boat dock. We played games,did puzzles while the guys caught lots of fish. I read reviews before picking this place so I knew the stairs were steep and the King size room/bungalow was separate and did not have a bathroom. The cabin was small but really cozy, loved it! Could not find any frying pans. Kitchen organization was messy. The house is old and could use a really good deep clean. I would not recommend because the second bedroom doesn’t have access to the bathroom unless you walk outside to the main house. That was a pain during the night. This would not be a good place for tall people. The loft has low ceilings and the 1/2 bath has a very tiny sink and even lower ceilings and you have to get really low just to look in the mirror. The bed linens were nice and pretty but the towels/washcloths were all mismatched and old. I will say it has a beautiful view of the lake. We did enjoy sitting out by the fire pit. Super nice little cottage equipped with everything you need right down to the salt and pepper. Communication with the host was timely and pleasant and the property was even nicer than the pictures indicate! Full kitchen,two A/C units and an awesome view of the lake. Caught some fish right off the dock. Two TV's in the main cottage and one in the detached room, also with a washer and dryer.My wife and I plan to come back here soon! Book it. As others have mentioned, the neighborhood seemed very economically diverse, and everyone was quiet and friendly. The cabin itself was beautifully decorated and quite cozy and comfortable. As stated in the listing, the stairs were steep, so we used them carefully. The beds and furniture were comfortable. They had several pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. I love when a property has an actual coffee pot, and not just a keurig, and this location had both! Another plus is when a location provides bodywash, shampoo, and conditioner, as I have to pack even less items. This property had that as well! Along with towels that were quite soft. We spent our days fishing, and our evenings making s’mores. We caught (and released), 33 fish! Mostly catfish! The property was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs while sipping wine and looking at the lake. Unfortunately, it was cloudy the entire time we were there, so we didn’t get to see the beautiful sunrise that Cyndi had told us about. That will have to happen for a future visit! Within 10 minutes, another unit was brought. Very eager to make our stay enjoyable. We were disappointed the nice pier that went with the property was not operable due to a recent storm. There was another pier and the boat dock made available to us. That is the only reason I did not give 5 stars across the board. We had a nice stay and hope to come again soon. ##### Teresa C. If you like water activities, then this is right up your alley!. We fished a lot from the dock. Our boat ended up not working, but we enjoyed the lake anyways. The house did have a few necessities that we ran out of, but we just bought them ourselves. Since we didn't have access to the boat dock due to storms, we wish we would have known sooner. We wouldn't have brought our boat on the trip. Overall we all enjoed the lake and fishing and eating some fresh carfish:) Tyler, TX was only about 15 minutes away which was nice as well.
