"Gorgeous property, lovely staff and great drinks. The rooms are really clean, the pool was great and the balconies overlooked the edge of the mountains which made for a beautiful view. The bar closes at 9:30pm which is a little early but other than that I can’t fault it. "

Friendly staff, scooter rentals and a small bar with a pool table for the rainy days. It’s in a less busy more relaxed area of Koh Tao located between the Pier and the South Island resort area. "Absolutely amazing stay all around. The property is quiet and I would say one of the nicest beaches on Koh Tao. Incredible snorkeling right off the beach - clams, Christmas tree worms, pufferfish, starfish, reef sharks, plenty of other fish and coral, great service at the restaurant, very good prices for food, massages and other services."

"Lidt dårlige senge, hvor man kan mærke fjedrene og badeværelse er uden udluftning. Stranden var virkelig fin, og det var muligt at snorkle fra stranden hvor der var farverige fisk, Koraller og havskildpadder man kan benytte faciliteter på hele stranden - dvs beachbar, flere pools mv. ligger lidt langt fra by / lokale restauranter men vi nød virkelig 6 nætter på dette sted. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site next door. I estimate that it will be ongoing for at least another year (we stayed in April 2025). To be fair it wasn't that intrusive, but I think potential guests should know about it."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, however we were quite disappointed that our room was infested with ants. They were all over the bed when we checked in and there were quite a few of them in the bathroom. There were also several holes in the walls that were filled with toilet paper. Other than that, we appreciated how accommodating the staff were."
