Cozy Log Cabin - Walk to Lake Huron!

Nature awaits. Enjoy the tranquility of a private property with loads of amenities including a firepit, gas bbq, washer/dryer, large deck & gazebo, gas fireplace, wood stove, hammock & more. The cabin sleeps 6 adults comfortably and offers incredible charm. Black's Point Beach is a 7 min walk. Enjoy Lake Huron’s famed sunsets, or plan day trips to one of the neighbouring towns (Bayfield, Goderich or Blyth). Cross listed on Cottages in Canada & Air b nb.

Note: Loft is accessed by a spiral staircase and may not be suitable for small children or people with mobility issues.

Please note: The cottage is in a rural/wooded area. We take all precautions available to keep pests at bay however during the spring and summer there will be mosquitos, black flies and other bugs outside. In the colder months we hire a pest control company to keep mice out but on occasion there have been signs of mice. Guests should keep food in the cupboards.

This cabin had everything needed for a relaxing stay! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the living room had books games and puzzles. We enjoyed grilling and dining on the deck. The hosts thought of everything!

Cute cabin. Far walk with children to water, water is difficult to access steep hill. Cabin needed a good cleaning.

We stayed a week at this amazing property. From getting details from Leslie to our arrival right through the entire stay we loved it. There were tiny details (like a wee pot of honey) that made a spectacular place even sweeter. We spent our time exploring the area and relaxing on the deck or in the sunroom. Perfect stay - thanks!

Black’s Point Cottage is indeed a Happy Place, a serene and charming retreat. It is very clean, cozy and thoughtfully decorated, with full attention to detail. Leslie obviously wants her guests to enjoy themselves there, and they do. The beds are comfortable and all the amenities are provided. There were only two of us staying, for a brief time, so we didn’t make use of many of these, and although we were fortunate in the weather, we didn’t make much use of the outdoors and grounds. But I can imagine how pleasant it would be to be there later in the season. Leslie was wonderful to deal with throughout. Highly recommended!

The cabin is so quaint and inviting. There is absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the essentials. The two sitting areas were well used and the wood stove area was beautiful to sit in and look out at the snow falling. It was perfect!

We meet up with our adult kids and had a great weekend together. We loved that the cottage we spacious enough that we could enjoy quiet reading time by the gas fireplace ot tv by the woodstove. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals.

Very beautiful log cabin with everything you need for a relaxing getaway!! Extremely clean and a cozy cottage with a lovely wood stove that was enjoyed all weekend. Thanks Lesley and Steve for letting us stay. Will highly recommend and hope to be back again soon!

This cozy cottage has incredible fall vibes with a cool loft, stone fireplace, and sun room in the back! It is a nice location, it feels remote, although you are a short drive from Goderich. It's a pretty short walk to Blacks Point Beach, which is so cool. Gravel trail down the bluffs to a nice, but a bit rocky, beach with a nice view north to Goderich and the lake in general. Our host was very nice and check-in and check-out process was very easy. We wish we had booked a longer trip!

Longtime friends stayed at this charming home that had such a warm and cosy feeling. The kitchen was well equipped. The ladder going to the second floor room is a little tricky for 65-year-old knees, but younger folks wouldn’t have much of an issue. We even managed to take a dip in the lake in Oct. It was quite private, and the lawn was spacious enough to play fetch with the dog. Leslie was a gracious hostess, and as one participant exclaimed, I hit it out of the park with this choice!

Great place/ property to hang out with my family. The cabin was very cosy and had very comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped and there were so many nostalgic games to play. Had a very large private yard with a gazebo. It was a fun place and close to lot of things to do in town.

The rustic cozy log cabin was a beautiful backdrop to spend time with my wife and friends. The cabin provided enough space for personal privacy while allowing time to socialize and nurture friendship. We (2) visited the property in January. It offers so much more than we could have done in 2 days. Next time we will book for longer. It is a gorgeous property. We enjoyed the woodstove. We brought lots of things with us that we didn't need to as the place has everything you can think of in the kitchen, bathroom etc. We could imagine a larger group for a fun summer family getaway. We just wanted a nice quiet weekend to read and explore and this cottage was perfect. The interior is so home-y and comfortable and has everything possible that you would need. Great location to go into town for dinner or walk around a quiet neighborhood. 10/10

We had an absolutely wonderful time! The cottage was just the right size, cozy and warm and had everything we could possibly need. We were 4 adults, two teens, and two small dogs. We had plenty of space for all of us. The beach and sunsets were magical. We enjoyed the fire pit each night for S’mores and laughs. We are already planning our next visit. Thank you Leslie and Steve for such a great place to stay!
