The hotel was somewhat clean the bathroom was the only issue I had that and a distinct smell in the room.

Chosen for proximity to familyPosted 24-Aug-2017
Breakfast offerings not replenished. Apple and. Cranberry juices were just water from fountain dispenser. Management did not seem to care. It seemed there were cost saving measures in place. Family owned? Cleaning staff were hard working and accommodated our needs for 1 extra coffee packet.

The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed atPosted 18-Aug-2017
Pros: There was nothing about this hotel that we liked.
Cons: Well, for starters, new owner, new manager and a new hotel. The manager was no help, he actually charged us for 2 nights & we were only there 12 hours
Location: We even called corporate and they did nothing to rectify the situation. There is a grocery store, dollar tree, liquor store & restaurant nearby.
We made a reservation for this hotel for 4 nights, weeks in advance. We arrived the day of our reservation, and we did arrive early. We had driven from Nebraska through the night and we were exhausted. The first person we encountered was at the front desk. This gentleman was very nice and was training a new employee. He looked up our reservation and found it. He said that he could check us in early, and that it wouldn't be a problem because they had plenty of empty rooms. As we parked and went into the back door from the outside, the sign said the door would be locked. The door wasn't locked, in fact the door was even broken. Anyone could get in. Walking down the hallway to get to our room, the carpet was noticeably dirty. There was a smell too, like damp, dirty, almost like a wet dog smell. So we get to our room. Granted, it is day time and we are exhausted after driving all night, so we go to the window to close the blinds and out window has a huge crack going all the way across it and wouldn't close all the way...yes, you could open the window and it would not close. Once we closed the curtain so we could sleep, you could see tons of light coming in all the way around the door. Not only that but we could hear what seemed like every footstep coming down the hall. We may as well not had a door at all as much as the noise was let in. We tried to sleep, and it was a struggle. We got a little nap in. When we woke up, we went to the manager and told him that we would like

Lots of help from the front desk about what was available in the small town.

The fairly new manager has a good building and he is giving it a face lift. New paint and new tile. Staff awesome. Room size- huge!!

Renovations have been made since our last stay. We were very pleased with our accommodations and the staff.

For this price range... WOW! Front desk was probably the most welcoming I've ever had. Rooms were fresh & awesome. Quiet/safe area, right next to food & drink. A+
