It is very suitable for an unforgettable family or friends gathering. The house even has a tower with a dovecote from the 13th century. The holiday home is located in a protected region and directly on the River Lot. As a result, there is plenty of opportunity for swimming or boating nearby. The Lot has several beaches where you can sunbathe. Canoes for nice trips are easy to rent. Also visit a flea market nearby or go to one of the many summer festivals. In this lovingly renovated country house from 1696, you will be immersed in times gone by. The house has been atmospherically restored to its former glory. When you look at the old beamed ceilings, the plastered walls, the wooden floors, the thick doors, the fireplaces, the private courtyard and the vine-covered terrace, you will understand exactly what we mean by this. The house is just 6 km from Saint Cirq-Lapopie, a village listed as one of France's most beautiful villages, and a true medieval treasure in the Lot. Located between Cahors (32 km) and Figeac (41 km), it is the ideal base to explore the Causses du Quercy regional natural park, with its medieval heritage and traditional kitchen. Grote keuken met uitloop naar door wijnranken overdekt terras waar we iedere avond heerlijk hebben gegeten van de top BBQ. Leuk strandje aan de lot onderaan prachtig middeleeuws dorp st Cirque la Popie, binnen ongeveer 5 min rijden, is perfect om te zwemmen met jonge kinderen. Snackbar met lekkere koffie en snacks. Vanuit st Cirque prachtig uitzicht over het dal. Het is de moeite waard de streek te verkennen. Veel variëteit in prachtige omgeving en veel te doen voor kinderen, kanoeen, zwemmen stroomversnellingen in Lot, grottten Peche Merle etc. Markt in Limogne op zondag perfect voor uitgebreid inkopen. Kleine mini supermarkt aan overkant Lot bij strand. Kortom aanrader! Fantastisch-historisch vakantiehuis met kasteelallures! Prachtig gelegen aan de Lot, helemaal vrij, geen omringende bebouwing dus volledige privacy. Inrichting een charmante combinatie van historische elementen met modern comfort. Voor ons een ideaal huis voor een familievakantie met kinderen en kleinkinderen en onze hond. Aanbeveling verbetering van de toegang naar/in de Lot is wenselijk, vooral met kleine kinderen lastig om in en uit het water te komen.
