Hotel is as advertised. Quiet and comfortable with pretty views of rural Iowa. No food service anywhere nearby so hotel dining becomes a must for breakfast. Our server was polite but failed to take correct order (forgot the toast for my poached eggs), never offered juice or a coffee refill. By the time I got my toast the eggs were stone cold. Not a good part of our stay.

We just had an overnight stay while traveling through Iowa. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our needs. They even put us in a different room that would accommodate our elderly mother better and did this without us even asking. The room was satisfactory but it was the staff and breakfast that made it worthwhile.
This was a wonderful hotel to rest in before flying out the next morning. Despite being so close to the airport, they create a lovely and relaxing oasis. The staff was warm and welcoming and the bed was clean and comfortable...woke up to the smell of breakfast. Well done.
Set downtown just blocks from the Cedar River is the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, with over 5,600 pieces of art that include the world's largest collection of works by Cedar Rapids' own Grant Wood. Across the river is Veterans Memorial Stadium--home to the Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball team--as well as the Czech Village, an area centered around the city's Czech, Moravian, and Slovak heritage.
