This was a lovely hotel. It is as close as you can get to the island without staying ON the island. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean and very spacious. It is a tad bit dated in decor, but not in an unpleasant way. We were there in the off season and this hotel was just one of a handful of hotels/restaurants that were open. Breakfast was bountiful. Dinner was good. And the free trolley to the island picks you up every 15 minutes right outside the front door. The only disappointment was the bar. The bar area wasn't operating (off season). We could order a drink at the table while we ate dinner, but had to go elsewhere down the street to enjoy just a cocktail or beer. We definitely recommend this hotel regardless of the bar being closed. I'm sure it is a different experience when there are more tourists to support additional services.

The hotel needs an upgrade for sure. hallways were dirty and old. bathroom was moldy. the staff was really nice and it is very convenient if you are planning on visiting Mont St Michel. it is actually the last hotel before you get to MSM. there was a free trolly to take us there. FYI, I did not read the part that you need a code to access the hotel when driving. make sure you receive that code!

The hotel is in a great location, with unspoiled views of Mont-St-Michel. The lady on reception was friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the first floor - the rooms were being decorated, our corridor was screened off plastic sheets as decorating was taking place in the other rooms. The decoration in ours was nearly complete - the toilet roll holder missing,the curtains had been put up in a rush and didn't close properly. The room itself was full of flies, i must have killed 6 during the 12 hours we were there. The food in the restaurant was poor, the accompaniments never came out until we had nearly finished our main course and then we sent dishes back for being cold, they came back in a hot pan but luke warm in the middle. We were not offered the complementary hot drink that should have come with out meal. Breakfast is served 8-10am. We come downstairs at 9:15, the host looked at his watch to check the time and implied we were late coming down. The majority of the food and juice had gone by this point, we were told that was all that was available. We had a yogurt and croissant to tide us over. 15 minutes later a group of french people came and fresh fruit, meat and cheese was brought out for them. It could be a fantastic hotel. Once the rooms are finished it will be much better. But the service and food quality in the restaurant ruin the experience

Arrived a hotel and it was warm, went to our room to make sure the A/C was on, not only was there no A/C on, there was no A/C to turn on. Checked the website for information, and it clearly stated rooms have air conditioning, went to front desk and was told there was no A/C in the building. Restaurant subpar, views great, staff friendly.

An amazing hotel! We booked a family suite & ended up with a very recently renovated room in perfect condition. The room was two floors and had two bathrooms (making our bigger than most airbnbs we’ve stayed at in Europe!). View of the mont was the reason we picked this hotel & it didn’t disappoint. This is the closest hotel & its location can’t be beat. The staff was wonderful & easy to communicate with. Call ahead before arrival though to get the gate code for parking.

Nice location. But the room we assigned was the worst of the worst. Flies everywhere. Room was extremely hot, no air conditioning. Window has no screens. Fly gets into the room. The worst part is the toilet. It smells like poop everywhere, never got cleaned. Leave the toilet room door open, bedroom smells to the point, you can’t fall sleep. If you close the toilet room door, you just don’t want to walk in there. Carpet has so much stains. This hotel is for the group tourist. Restaurant was busy serving tourist group. You have to wait for hours to get served and to get food. We paid big money, seems like we were forced to stay in a toilet room.

The pictures don't lie: what a stunning view on the Mont Saint Michel from the hotel! Both from our room and from the restaurant (e.g. while having the free breakfast). It is the hotel the closest to the Mont, so the best view: stunning! The parking is also better than the general public one. Staying there means you can walk to the Mont (20-30min) or take the free shuttle bus at the stop just next to the hotel. I went to the Mont in the evening, which was great to avoid the crowds. Not the cheapest but well worth the cost to make the most of Mont Saint Michel.

The views from our room totally exceeded my expectations. The only thing more enjoyable than the room was the staff. The restaurant at dinner was very good. If we came back to Mont St Michel we would stay here again.

Hotel room is big and location is great, the issue was the hotel zone gate, we didn’t receive any email from hotel nor hotels.com regarding the gate or the code to get into the zone, one of us had to walk to the hotel in the heavy rain to get the code. Very disappointed. Call at the gate is not the option for tourists like us!

Beautiful hotel let down by it's restaurant. Fantastic location staff was helpful and tried their best but they need to up their game on the food and especially service in the restaurant. Angry guests were shouting about not enough food for breakfast etc.

It is important to note that the access to all hotels in this zone is controlled by a common access service and you will find a gate blocking the road. Booking through Expedia you will not be contacted with a code for the gate. Call or email the hotel ahead of time to get a gate code. We saw many people with trouble getting through this gate. Access is 9 euros. If you don't have a code press the green call button. The operator will ask which hotel you are staying in and let you in. The hotel is very clean and quiet.

At check in we were told that we have to be moved to another hotel as they were having works done that were not finished. In fact they wanted our room to sell to an Asian tour group. We got sent over to the island in a horrible and dirty hotel that we didn’t want to stay in. Not happy. We didn’t even get any compensation or apology. Not happy😡
