This really beautiful addition is spacious and can actually accommodate 4 guests with a futon in the living room. You can have the King bed separated into two twins if you request it. Also a Queen Futon in the living room for extra sleeping capacity. We built the bathroom so that it can be entered both through the bedroom and separately from the living room for privacy at night. This property is located underneath Barbara's Beach House, having had so much success with Sandy's and Laura's lay out way we decided to build underneath Barbara's. With large bright windows and French doors opening out onto a Palapa covered deck you enjoy a beautiful Palm Grove which is lit up at night. Right on your door step is a tranquil palm grove with BBQ facilities including picnic tables and a giant Jenga game. Paddle boards and kayaks are available for free, Beer can be bought at the front desk by the bottle, the bucket or a whole case. You can also rent bikes and golf carts at the front desk or book tours with anyone of the many tour operators on the island for fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving or sunset sailing cruises, our staff are there to help. Bikes are available to rent at US $7.50 per bike, per day, We also rent golf carts but supply is limited. We recommend you reserve with us in advance. We have a pool shared with our other guests however the best feature we have found is the huge dock we built running some 300 feet out to sea with sunbathing pods built off the sides as well a huge swimming deck at the end and a large Palapa to shade you from the sun. We built a beach which you can hang out on as well with loungers and Palapa covered tables as well as corn hole and ladder Toss games to entertain you. The whole dock, beach and poolside decks are covered with chaise lounges complete with comfortable mattresses. We have staff on site throughout the day and a Security guard on hand at night to ensure your safety. Our onsite office hours are 9:00pm - 7:00pm, so that someone is always on hand to help with your needs. You have easy access to the Beach Road, which will take you right into the center of town by either a 5-10 minute bike ride, or a 10- 15 minute walk, but the location remains quiet and secluded; a bit of the Caye Caulker of old!!! The location was perfect and the facilities were superb. We really enjoyed being able to rent the bikes to explore Caye Caulker. Although the place does not have a washer, they did laundry for us anyway so we had clean clothes for the return trip ;) They also helped get the right size bikes for our kids and adjusted for their heights so we could ride bikes all week. The unit we stayed had another unit above it. No fault of the people staying there but it sounded as if a whole football team was practicing up there and perhaps going to come through the roof. There seems to be very little insulation between the upper and lower units. Just a heads up for others that f this is the type of thing that can take a wonderful property and stay and the rn t into not such a great experience. We felt safe and secure and had many conveniences at our fingertips. There’s a restaurant 10 steps from the front door of this cottage and extra water and Belikin (for purchase) on request! The cottage was clean and maintained and had a lot of privacy with the privacy shades you can draw down. You have to walk around the back of the cottage to get to the pool but who cares! It was fantastic and we would stay here again and again. Town is a short bike ride away and the nearest grocery store is maybe a three minute bike ride. We loved the pier with the loungers and even saw sting rays swimming around the pier our first morning. There’s a lot of Sargasssum (looks like a seaweed/algae) floating in the sea right now and it has an odor but that’s the whole island, not the fault of location or anything else. Only complaint was that it’s very close to the island airport and planes start taking off and landing a little on the early side so it will wake you. No big deal to us, though. Overall, stay here! We had a wonderful experience staying with Michael. The place was exactly as expected, a little tight for four adults but again, as we expected. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable and you couldn’t even tell it was two twin beds pushed together. The futon in the living room was super comfortable for what it was, much better than expected. We had new towels, both bath and beach, whenever needed, and getting new water for the room was very easy. They were very accommodating to our needs. The room was also very clean when we arrived and the AC worked great. It was so nice to come back after a day in the sun to a nice cold room. We rented bikes for the entire stay and that was definitely necessary. We used them constantly to go back and forth between our room and town. This was close enough to town to be easy to get to on a bike and far enough to escape the noise and majority of other tourists. We spent a lot of our time out on the dock as the chairs were really comfy and it was easy to get in and out of the water there. We enjoyed hanging out there during the day and were happy to have a quiet place to hang out. We also went out on the dock most nights and there was security around at night. We overall really enjoyed the island and can’t wait to go back. We highly recommend checking out Wish Willy’s for dinner, this was everyone’s favorite place to eat by far. We also enjoyed Dee D’s and Belizean Flavas for dinner. For lunch we ate food from people on the street and it was always good. We took snorkel tours with Scuba Sensation, Raggamuffin Tours and Carlos. We had a great experience with all three. Clean, modern, reasonably stocked with the basics. Very organized setup and conscientious communication ahead of arrival. It's a short (15min) walk to the main drag of Caye Caulker but this also makes the area a bit quieter. Would recommend. ##### Patrick L. WE love the laid back go slow attitude on this island. We have stayed closer to the village before; but we really enjoyed the peacefulness of your location. The staff their was wonderful. They was very helpful with anything you asked. The property was very clean and beautiful inside and out. I would recommend this property. All the staff was a delight to be around and very friendly and hard workers. I will defiantly stay with them again. The location is just far enough from village to be peaceful; but to far to be able to get to restaurants and be part of the activities going on with the island.
