"Lovely hotel, but needs the owners to give it TLC"
This is in a superb location, has an exquisite garden, nice restaurant and excellent staff but its owners, the huge Hotel Croatia, need to spend money on it to revive pretty tired internal paintwork, get rid of the unnecessary carpeting, and replace the plastic tables and ageing sun loungers on the terrace - which could do with some shade and plants too! The fact that we loved our stay here and would return is testament to its staff, and location at the end of the seafront right by the swimming area and headland.
Walking distance to Cavtat, and easily accessible to Dubrovnik on the boat or the bus. We also went for a day trip to Kotor bay, Montenegro which was one of the highlights.
Would definitely recommend the Steak House within the hotel for dinner, and the Spinnaker beach bar/restaurant is very nice, but the evening buffet at the breakfast restaurant was not quite as good as the other restaurants.
Lovely rocky beaches and had a nice swim in the sea water. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools also great even though the beach chairs were always 'reserved' with guests leaving their towels all day.
Overall an excellent holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel and location.
"Lovely friendly staff in a clean, nice appartment"
Lovely place, gorgeous views and staff that couldn't do enough for us! The apartment was set upon a hill but it's pleasant walk to and from the beach etc and has a supermarket and restaurant close by.
Will definitely return again!
I was only here one night, so I didn't take full advantage of the mini kitchen, etc... But it is more than adequate if you were staying for a longer time. It is high on the hill with great views, but right near a walking path that takes you directly into the town center. The hill isn't a big deal walking and the view makes it all worthwhile. If you plan on parking, I would let them know ahead of time. I got a spot, but in the off season, and I can see their small parking area filling up. Highly recommend!
Stayed here for 5 nights and had a fantastic trip, Cavtat is very nice and 1000s better than staying in nearby Dubrovnik, which is just packed full of tourists and quite soulless. Cavtat is a chilled village with some nice seafront bars, shops, cafes etc...
Hotel was great, very clean, modern and the small kitchen had everything you'd need. Staff were very friendly ( a welcome change from most stern, almost rude staff in shops / bars! - maybe it's cultural? ) Logos Apartments are about 5 mins walk from seafront, some rooms have got a large terrace with seaviews ( room 4 ) but all rooms are just really nice. Absolute bargain at the price! OK there's no pool, bar, etc... but for a self-catering short stay it's perfect. I think the owners father? is a taxi driver so you're got a taxi on your doorstep! - which is cheaper for Airport transfers than others. Highly recommend this hotel.
My wife and I had the good fortune to stay in the Apartments Didan for one week, we have just returned and already we have decided we will be returning.
The apartments are on the lower hillside looking over the peninsulas to the town of Cavtat, the view is spectacular.
The owners are very friendly and are more than happy to make you feel at home in the apartments and in Cavtat.
The Apartments are very clean (cleaned daily) and all of the furnishings are of a high standard.
It is only five minutes walk to the small ferry that takes you on the 45 minute boat trip to Dubrovnik, seeing the old city is definitely a must do!
