The best hotel! 5 min drive to airport. On the beach! Very good swimming pool and free towels provided.its one of those hotels that I would leant to go back. Room was amazing and very modern.

The hotel was in a good location and easy to find. The breakfast was wonderful, with lots of options and tasty items. This was one of the best breakfasts we had in our 10-day trip to Sicily. I arrived at the hotel late in the evening, around 10.00 pm, and the main gate was closed. There was another gate from which we needed to enter, but there were no signs or enough light to figure out the doorbell. In addition, the reception was in a different direction, but again, there were no signs to lead you to the main entrance. I would suggest they should have proper lighting and signs to lead the guests.

Rooms were spacious and well laid out. Restaurant was average. Parking through the gate took a bit to figure out, but once the proper gate was used, no problems. Shower in the bathroom is really small.

This property is a hidden gem. It is beautiful and the staff are wonderful. The area has several businesses that are closed but it is a treasure. I will stay there again!

Beautiful hotel near the airport
A luxurious and beautiful hotel near the Catania airport. It was perfect for our stay before returning to the U.S. the next day. The front desk arranged a taxi to take us to the airport and provided a box breakfast to send us on our way.

Staff didn’t share hidden costs of extra towel for their beach club, or cost for extra water in room. This info came out when I went to pay the bill. Room was very musty.

Lovely stay and walkable to the centre. Food and drinks are a bit pricey in the hotel but worth it if you just want to relax by the pool or in the garden.

Romano Palace
We booked this hotel for one night as our flight home was cancelled. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and very clean. The pool area was lovely. A short walk to the beach. Plenty of choice at breakfast the next morning. Would highly recommend.

Love the hotel, recommend it often. But just this once, I wanted an early check-in and they said no. Even if the whole hotel needed to be cleaned that day, with advanced notice (I’d written days early), you would think they would have been accommodating.

Awful don't bother
Shocking Plce. Certainly not 5 star maybe 20 years ago but awful! Terrible service no electricity no water for 2 days no apologies and no compensation - shocking! Don't stay here don't waste your time. Go somewhere else.

Dear Rebecca,We can understand of course the situation, but it was officialized the state of Emergency in our region.In the whole region there were difficulties for days.The lack of water was only for a few hours fortunatly, respect of other people in the city centre.You can surely understand, that It does not depend on our structure or service.We have worked with our generator in order to guarantee the normal service and with a tank of water to not have problem due to the emergency. The interruption of electricity sometimes was caused to the impulses from city centre electric system, when they were trying to repair the problems in the City.We are really sorry for the inconveniences, and we really hope you will accept to give us the possibility to host you again, but like we usually do, with our best services.We remain at your disposal and offer you ourBest regards

Staff were rude with zero customer service. Food was not worth the price paid. There is such a thing as AC in the modern age and especially at a wanna be 5 star resort. My room could have doubled as a sauna everyday of my stay.

great spot!!
my friends and I, and my family, stayed here in between our many travels throughout Italy for a little respite where we could spend some time at the pool and beach and take a break from all the walking and exploring we had been doing. This place hit the spot! The rooms are very spacious, the bathrooms are great, the pool was great with a bar and eating area, and it was a convenient distance across the street to the beach club, which was included in the cost. I truly appreciate the friendliness of the staff there as well! Only thing I would change is the restaurant on site was a little lackluster, but the guy that ran the show was amazing and I definitely think it has potential my future! We definitely stay here again recommend to others.

Our stay at Romano Palace was sufficient for one night before our flight from Catania. The property itself was nice but seemed to be run down in spots — the pool area was decent but the surrounding area and inside of the pool could have used some improved cleaning. The room itself was nice but again, the cleanliness could have been improved. The staff were very friendly and helpful for our short stay!

Not 5 star quality.
Lovely surroundings & decor. Service desk helped with taxi, luggage storage, wake-up calls. Heating in each room was controlled by someone other than the occupant, so any changes involved calls to reception, even if one got too warm in the middle of the night! Heating turns off when you leave the room. One room had no reading lights over the bed, in another the toilet flush didn't work properly, the reading lamp flickered like a strobe & there was no hot water for evening shower. I had to crawl under the desk to plug in my computer! The third room was fine.

The rooms were dirty, especially the floors. Drains were slow and inefficient. The AC was nonexistent, even though the front desk staff claimed it was working. The property is spacious but has seen better days. I do not recommend this hotel.

A horrible experience. This is a 2-3 star hotel masquerading as a luxury hotel. From the staff to decor the entire place is in need of a serious overhaul.

Actually a lot off nice features, but chaotic. You drive in and can't get to reception. You need to find a speaker and talk to a bellman and get your bags about, then park, then walk. Dining ends at 1030. Drinks are way overpriced. Go across the street. I wanted to love this place but couldn't. Sorry.

It was a very beautiful hotel, with very nice grounds and a nice swimming pool. Very relaxing atmosphere. The live singer at dinner was really good and very nice to listen to. A great bonus!! What i found little odd, was that the AC in the room kept shutting down and you had to call the front desk to get it turned back on. That was pretty annoying and seemed to be the case in every room. I understand their desire for energy conservation, but this was a little ridiculous. When you're in your room at night, and asleep, you shouldn't have to call the front desk at 3 am to turn the AC back on. It seems like they can control all the room ACs from the front desk. I've never heard of this before.

It was truly awful. The hotel is from the 70’s or 80’s and nothing has been renovated. Nothing like the pics in the site. Everything is old, and is uncomfortable to be there.
