The property does not match the photos as presented on the website. Technically...... and I mean technically everything as stated on the website is correct however overall very very disappointing. The restaurant sounds wonderful but the menu for dinner is not and very restrictive. The mini bar in the room??? The fridge consisted of some water and one beer. It is not as stated on the website a modern hotel and the ‘ balcony with a view’ was a view ‘to other balconies’. We will say however the staff we encountered at reception were helpful and friendly which is the only redeeming feature of this hotel.

Lovely Garden, good access to metro into0 Catania Centre. Comfortable & spacious room. Breakfast was good. Only down point was pool was closed. Would recommend to friends.

A Bargain of a hotel
Unfortunately I only stayed one night en route to Catania airport, I will certainly visit again. The grounds the hotel is set in are beautiful and there’s even a small pool. My room was good, was amazed that the bed had memory foam mattress and pillows, very comfy. My balcony was huge, surrounding my room and facing the pool. Very quiet too. The most enchanting aspect was the building itself (once a private house) it retained all the original features such as heavy wooden windows and metal Louvre shutters, so much nicer than the modern equivalent.

This is no where close to the photos or ratings the staff was very friendly and nic the facilit is old noisy and AC didn't work nor did the toilet flush. The staff was excellent it was the facility that was the problem

The room is very hot, the cooling system is NOT cool, the bed is noisy, it is impossible to sleep, the breakfast is very poor with no variety or fresh fruit, the hotel is lugubrious and in an area of the city nothing touristy and very far from the center

Beautiful hotel in Catania. Not easy to find by car from the airport but nearby Metro station is convenient for getting to city centre. Excellent, friendly service. Good sized room and bathroom. Cool balcony under the trees.

This hotel is for traveling sales reps, it is a good way out of town (€21 taxi each way) with nothing else in walking distance. The rooms are average size but barrooms are small. In general rooms are tired and showing their age. Simple things like two bedside cabinets and a toilet seat would help. Balcony is small and festooned with temporary washing lines put up by previous guests. You can hear other guests taking a shower and moving around. Restaurant is in. Small conservatory and has a very limited menu, many guests order in. The Experian was saved by the young male receptionist and female chef who were pleasant helpful and very nice. Personally 2 stars. Would I return? No.

After several visits to the hotel, for the first time whee given a room on the second floor in the adjasent block without a lift. Room was facing the road side so there was a lot of traffic noise. Also a pump or some other equipment was being heard going on and off during the night which left us with a sleepless night. Breakfast was busy, so the lonely waitress couldn't cope with the work load so there was a waiting timevfor coffee, bread, cheese etc. disappointed.

Wonderful hotel at a great price, gorgeous!
This tucked in spot just outside the city center is full of beautiful foliage (living up to the green in it's name). The room was clean with a comfortable bed and everything we could have needed. The breakfast was wonderful and "S" (name left out because I can't share in the review) the woman that helps with breakfast was so sweet. They make you a fresh espresso or cappuccino to go with your breakfast. There was meat/cheese, fresh fruit, pastries, hard boiled eggs among other things. Those that help with check in do speak a little english which was helpful, otherwise be sure to brush up on a little Italian! I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean, beautiful place in Catania.

A fine hotel for a fine price
Overall experience at the hotel was fine, however, we had to change the room due to multiple sources of noise: little fridge, the air conditioning, the elevator behind the wall. The rooms are clean, but one will not feel excellence due to older furniture and facilities. I was personally disappointed not to find slippers during the winter stay (a day before the NY) - it does feel very cold on the marble floor bare foot. The hotel had quite nice pool outside, I imagine it is best on the hot summer day, as well as cosy breakfast location - outside see-through tent with just fine selection of food and very good cappuccino (ask personally).

Beautiful hotel
The hotel on its own is fantastic with in built restaurant, pool and very helpful staff. The room was clean and had all the facilities required. Air conditioner did not work very well so the room was quite warm so had to open a window to keep cool throughout the night. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the catania centre and has nowhere really close to eat out so the in-house restaurant helps for a short stay. All in all a quality hotel for a relaxing getaway but be prepared with a rental car or to use a taxi/bus to see the sights.

Convenient for a stay near relatives.
We have used this hotel twice and will continue to do so in the future. It is conveniently located near to where relatives live in an area of Catania where there are few hotels. The staff are very friendly, polite and efficient. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. The beds very comfortable. Breakfast is adequate and evening meals are available if required. All in all, just what we need.

My second visit to the hotel. Had a warm welcome. Although far from the city centre,reception staff assitt you in getting takeaway food delivered from a nearby restaurant. Good breakfast and helpful staff. My only suggestion is to change the fixed shower to a hand held one as sometimes it is inconvenient. Will return again

Delightful Oasis in Catania
Beautiful, quiet location tucked in a neighborhood away from hectic downtown Catania. Surrounded by palm trees and beautiful grounds, a great escape. Rooms were very comfortable, beds/bedding luxurious and our room had two patios on which we could sit and enjoy the outdoors. Shower/bathrooms well equipped and plenty of hot water available. Breakfasts were "normal" European but plentiful. Only negative, there were no restaurants within walking distance but the front desk was willing and able to order pizza delivery (and it was terrific)! Would definitely stay there again.

Out of the centro hussle
A pleasant surprise. Gated grounds with adjoining apartments. Secure parking and quiet surrounding. Both reception staff spoke English! and....directed us to the best fish restaurant of our two week visit. Nothing fancy here, typically European but clean and smart. The bed had a great memory foam mattress, welcome after all of the 'less soft' beds we have had. We were trying to get out of the downtown area and this hotel is a short drive away.

SERENE, QUIET AND OVERALL A BEAUTIFUL B&B
MY PARTNER AND I STAYED AT THE HOTEL BORGO VERDE FOR 6 NIGHTS AND COULD NOT FAULT THIS. WELL A MINOR HICCUP, THE PARKING WAS NOT THAT GOOD, THERE WERE SPACES BUT VERY TIGHT FOR PARKING AND GETTING IN & OUT OF THE BUILDING. OTHERWISE NOTHING ELSE WAS WRONG. VALENTINA & MOIRA WERE EXCEPTIONAL RECEPTIONISTS WITH HUGE SMILES THAT WOULD HELP YOU IN ANYWAY. THE ROOM WE HAD WAS ROOMY, BATHROOM WAS GOOD SIZE AND WE HAD A BALCONY WITH A BARBECUE IN A QUIET PART OF THE BUILDING. THE BREAKFAST WAS LOVELY AS WAS THE SERVER BUT COULD NOT THINK OF HER NAME. LOCATION WISE WAS FINE, NOTHING REALLY IN WALKING DISTANCE BUT WAS ABOUT 15 MINUTE DRIVE TO DOWNTOWN. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS MADE SO MUCH NICER WITH VALENTINA & MOIRA AND WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN. THEY ALSO HAD ANOTHER B&B WHICH IS SITUATED IN TAORMINA AND WAS THEIR FIRST PROPERTY AND WOULD LOVE TO STAY THERE AS TAORMINA WAS OUR FAVOURITE PART OF SICILY.

Great hotel, lovely helpful staff. It was just a shame their pool wasn't open during our stay. We would still highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It served us well as we had a hire car.

Simple, Clean, Good Value
Clean, comfortable, basic hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly with advice regarding places worth visiting/good non-touristy resturants. Well worth hiring a car to get around as the hotel is a good 30mins walk to the centre and a little further to the train station. There is a bus stop outside the hotel, bus you can expect to wait 20-30mins for a bus to arrive. Location is the only minnor negative, but if you don't mind walking it is not a great pain. Good value for money, would stay here again.

Green, quiet and clean
Good hotel with clean rooms well furnished. We loved the calm surrounding the place, and the large variety of trees and flowers all around. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This hotel has no restaurant nearby, but we took advantage of the free transportation service to a local pasta/pizzeria restaurant that was offered. We really envoyed that restaurant and spent there a very pleasant karaoke night.

Great a real oasis after a busy drive from the airport. Hotel recommended a local pizzeria and arranged free transport there and back. It's the only hotel we'd use if we need an overnight in catania again. Highly recommended, Great breakfast. fresh and variety
