Highly recommend! Family of 4 and we will be going back.Room was excellent and the food downstairs absolutely amazing! Can't say enough good about the place. Hidden gem that's for sure.

This place is so cute! Love the room and the pub downstairs. They sent us two tickets to the live band they had playing at the pub. I would definitely stay again. The only problem was that check out was too early and there was no one to talk to for later check out. We wanted to stay longer. Over all it was a great experience.

We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the room was. The outside of the building leaves you wondering but when we walked in the room it was amazing. It was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. it was very clean and fit my family of 5 very comfortably. We will definitely stay there again!!!!

Excellent property! Very clean and quiet. Restaurant/pub had the best food in town! Ate there all 3 nights. Some suggestions: 1) lock assembly very new to us. Suggest you send a pic and instructions how to open the door. Another couple checking in after us had the same problem. 2) put screens on all windows as we prefer fresh air at night and not AC. AC was working fine but would prefer to open a window. 3) provide instructions on how to use TV. We could only get FOX fake-news (kill me now) and only one other channel. Not very good! 4) Housekeeping should ensure room has coffee. Luckily folks in the bar helped us out.

Would totally stay again!
Part of a larger ski trip. We were very happy overall with this place. Very easy "check-in", it's all automated and contactless. The unit was nicely modern and well appointed. Full kitchen (needs ice trays), and a nice modern bathroom (though the fan wasn't working for our stay). Our only real disappointment was with the sleeping situation. We were 3 guys travelling. So "sleeps 4" should work. The primary bed was comfortable, and we were offered a comfortable rollaway bed instead of the chair bed in the unit. But the sofa bed just doesn't cut it for an adult. I did bring this to the attention of the very responsive manager. They were understanding (clearly nothing to be done during our stay). If you were staying as a couple this place would be great. Maybe with young kids??? But I wouldn't want to be the guy on the sofa again, and I wouldn't imagine putting two adults on the sofa bed. (If you were to do 2 couples). Beyond that, the place is so convenient to downtown. It's a comfortable space for dining in-unit. The management staff IS very responsive and friendly. And you're above a restaurant/bar that serves good food and drinks. The drive to the hill isn't very long. Parking, even after the ski day, wasn't an issue for us to get close to the entrance.

This place was awesome! I really liked how it was more of an apartment then a hotel. No need to check in or anything so it was super easy. There were only a few rooms so not super busy and really quite. We would definitely stay here again.

The finish of the room is unique. The placement of the beds, and having the sink separate from the bathroom was very handy. The self check in/out, and the key code deadbolt worked flawlessly It did take a moment to figure out how to activate the keypad on the deadbolt, you have to press the little round logo sign to activate the keypad. The plumbing to the other suites is quite loud in the morning, This is understandable due to the age of the building and its inner workings. Alll in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Nicely updated in the rooms, that was clean and quiet. The pub downstairs was great and staff there were very nice. Its a pretty basic place with no real amenities, but for our stay that wasn't an issue. We didn't see or interact with any hotel staff except online. Totally happy with the stay and would recommend to anyone

The room was really cool, boutique style. Bunks were awesome and you could tell the rooms had been recently renovated. Restaurant was being renovated so we didn’t get to try it out, but we’ll def be back. Management/owners are fantastic and we were taken care of - above and beyond. Can’t wait to go back!

At first, we were told we couldnt get food to our room even though we were a guest there. After talking to someone else, they brought it up and everything was fine. The room smelt like a ski lodge, which is kind of expected in that town and the winter season, but something could have been used to attempt to cover it up. Overall, had a good stay.

Loud and late band music on weekend night
Good location in town and proximity to ice arena. Very poor planning for bands to be playing loud live music just underneath hotel guest rooms. Timing was poor, from 10pm to 12:30am ish. This building is not designed for live band music and hotel guests to be cohabiting. I may suggest having these bands play an earlier set wending around 11pm and warning hotel guests that this may be something to consider when booking rooms at the Flying Steamshovel. We enjoyed our stay otherwise, just would have appreciated it more with those suggested considerations.

Apologies for the delay in responding to this. We've switched hotel management. A few times/month we have shows in the Pub. The calendar is on our website. If the show is not sold out, we let hotel guests in for free. Regardless, apologize your stay was on one of these nights!
