The cabin is one of six on-site. All were fully renovated / remodeled in late 2021 after being relocated to the site from Waynesville, NC, where they were used by the US Forestry Dept. The property is located directly on Cashiers Lake and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, trails and all that Cashiers has to offer! Amenities on site include free parking, use of communal fire pit/grill. Let us be your basecamp for adventure. Please note: Cashiers Lake is privately owned and is currently drained due to new development. At first the idea of staying in the business district seemed strange, but it worked out really well. All was quite and cozy and safe. It was extremely convenient to visit all the offerings of downtown Cashiers. If there is any suggestion we have, it was that the tv should come out of the armoire in the living area so a clothing rod could be installed and the shelves used for clothing storage as well, instead of staring so many beautiful but unnecessary extra throw pillows. Also the cottage could be de-cluttered just a bit as it seemed a bit over decorated with lots of cute bric a brac.
