This amazing farmhouse has large bi-parting doors in the great room with a full wall of glass windows providing plenty of sunshine and breathtaking lake views! We are situated in a gated community very close to the famous Cedar Creek Jumping Bridge and Sugar Hollow Marina. We are located in the gated Hidden Springs subdivision, located minutes off the interstate. The custom craftsmanship in our home is something you would see on the show “Fixer Upper”. Starting outside, this custom home offers many lakefront living options with a wraparound deck on the upper level with both covered and uncovered areas, including an outdoor kitchen and bar area that seats 8 people. Also, this home features a lower level deck across the entire home. Near the water, we have a lakefront fire pit, a hot tub, a 6’ path, a spacious 2-slip dock that was built by Lifetime Docks, the best in the business. Grab your cooler, lifejackets, smiles and head for the water! This lot has an oversized 6’ concrete path to the lake which makes going to and from the lake super easy for the entire family. The open kitchen is fully equipped to handle any occasion, whether it's an elaborate holiday feast or simply feeding a growing family and keeping the kitchen stocked with all their favorite drinks and snacks – you have all the space you need. The large kitchen table and large island offer the perfect space for your everyday meals, quick snacks, and breakfasts. The adjacent eat-in kitchen is great for sit-down family style dinners, but it is elegantly furnished, making it the perfect setting for even the fanciest occasions. Vaulted ceiling with barn beams welcome our guest as they enter this open floor plan. Our home is filled with high end finishes including custom built-ins, granite tops throughout, stainless appliances, large ice maker for those coolers, and hardwood floors throughout most of the home. Bedrooms have carpeting for that cozy, at-home feel. Our home also features various area rugs, shiplap accents, well thought-out lighting fixtures and an upper and lower-level living room where the entire crowd can create memories. We want this home to feel like a home, not a rental property! The views from the bedrooms, great room, lower level living area, kitchen, outdoor bar/kitchen area, and outdoor living areas are truly spectacular and provide a majestic setting for one of nature’s most stunning sites, Norris Lake. A great feature of this home is that you can enter the gated community and unload your boat at our private boat launch! We built this home in 2021 and will feel like no other property you’ve stayed in - and it is ready to share it with others. Close to other VRBOs if you need additional space! No pets or smoking inside the property. Beds/Baths: Bedroom 1 – Large master suite on the main level offers a King Bed, patio doors to upper deck space, closet, and a well-appointed bathroom. Bedroom 2 - Queen Bedroom on lower-level offers a lake view with 1 Queen Bed and a shared bathroom that adjoins to a kid’s custom bunkbed room (great for families who have multiple kids). This bedroom will also have patio doors leading to the lower-level deck Bedroom 3 - Kid’s bunk room with custom bunkbeds on the lower-level offers 2 sets of bunkbeds with stairs for each, offering improved safety for kids to get in and out of their beds. The shared bath connects to lower-level master bedroom which helps families that need extra space or want to be close to the kids. Bedroom 4 – This bedroom offers 2 full beds with a great lake view and also includes its own private bathroom Bedroom 5 – Another master suite with a king bed also providing lake views and its own private bathroom and patio doors leading to the lower-level deck area. Bathroom 6 – This bedroom has a queen bed with a private bathroom which provides double sinks for those who are looking for a little extra space. Lower-Level great room is perfect for kids to enjoy time together whether they’re watching their favorite shows or playing games. Patio door allows everyone easy access to the outdoors and views of Lake Norris. All bedrooms have TVs - all TVs in the home will have either cable, network stations or is set up for streaming such as Netflix, Roku, Prime, etc. (bunk room does not have a TV) - internet service at Norris Lake . Other Rooms: Dining Room with a table for 12-14, outdoor seating that will seat 8 at the outdoor kitchen/bar along with another table outdoors for eating/drinking or just enjoying the views. Outdoor couches and other additional seating allow for laid back conversations and lake views. Our Kitchen includes an oversized island great for meal prep and seating for 5-6, gas cooktop, two ovens, two refrigerators, two dishwashers and a walk-in pantry off the kitchen area. The Custom cabinetry is stocked with all the essentials you need for your stay. Our Wet Entry off the kitchen includes a full size refrigerator (2nd fridge), a front loading washer & dryer, large ice maker, and an area to keep all your staging gear when you’re getting ready to go to or return from the lake. The Living Room hosts a gas fireplace, custom built-ins, large couches, and incredible views of Lake Norris. For the price you pay, I was expecting more cleanliness of the property especially being a newer property. The floors were dirty upon check in and there was dust covering surfaces. We really enjoyed our week. The lake and views are stunning. The location is on a busier area of the lake; so boat traffic was a little more than what we've been used to. The hills in the neighborhood will give you a workout if you like to walk! The house was quite nice with the main level serving as the heart of the home where we spent a lot of time cooking, drinking and laughing. Being a family who truly enjoys preparing meals together, we were disappointed with some of the kitchen supplies that would have made it feel more like a home and less like a rental. The only "glasses" were plastic cups that were warped from being melted in the dishwasher :( A nice glass of wine or craft cocktail is more enjoyable from a real stemware or cocktail glass. We also struggled with the knives which barely cut cucumbers let alone a steak. We didn't have a spatula or a cheese grater or a complete set of measuring spoons -- simple items that elevate the experiences from good to great. That said, the two dishwashers and two ovens were so appreciated, as were the washer/dryer on both levels! The bedrooms were comfy, yet no towel hooks in some of the bathrooms and no closets in some bedrooms was not favorable. Just some picky things we would expect here, but overall we loved our stay! ##### Sherie S. It is a stunning property that presents itself exactly as pictured in the ad. The location is fantastic and the host (Chris) is super responsive and attentive to guest needs. I especially appreciate the way he accommodated a special request that was important to our family. A bit more about the property. New, modern home in a gated neighborhood with the best view I've ever seen on Norris Lake. The moment you open the front door your breath will be taken away... the 180 degree view is THAT good. We loved the ice machine, tv's, fast wifi, outdoor grill, hot tub, extra fridges, etc. Let's talk boat logistics. The road leading to Break Away is paved and well maintained. Getting our 25' boat to the house was stress free. The driveway at the house is unusually flat for a home on Norris Lake. We were able to back our boat into the driveway, and we stored our trailer in the driveway all week (in addition to two other cars). The neighborhood has its own private boat ramp, which is paved and well maintained. We had no issues getting our boat in and out of the water. And the boat ramp is just a few hundred yards from the dock. The dock itself is new and has two slips (no lifts). Bring plenty of dock lines and fenders / inflatable balls to protect your boat when tied up (the channel can get busy). A bit more about the location. Being so close to Sugar Hollow Marina + Jumping Bridge was great for the family. First off: wonderful house, perfect location, responsive host once at property, everything we hoped it would be. Key positives: 1) Wonderful floor plan for a group our size with different schedules, needs (13 including a 12-month-old, 3 teens and 10 adults) Outdoor spaces awesome 2) Great location close to Sugar Hollow Marina. To rent boats a few just kayaked over. (or 15 to 20 min by road) 3) Walk to dock much shorter and less steep than other houses. Dock great for our 3 kayaks, 1 canoe plus rental pontoon and jet ski 4)Kitchen and eating area well equipped All worked great However, a few areas for improvement 1) Prior to our stay, communication with the host through the VRBO website was a little slow. In fact, a few days before the trip I had to contact VRBO to get a response and were given phone number to contact host directly That worked great and Chris was pleasant and extremely helpful. 2) Hot tub was not working but was able to contact Chris and he was able to give me simple directions to get it going. 3) One of 2 sinks in Master bathroom had no water. We easily managed with just the one sink but not communicated if that was going to be fixed during our week or not: it wasn't 4) Check-out instructions on handout in house were a little different than in email from host. Not a big deal but a little confusing Summary: We have been to Norris before, and this was hands down best house we have ever stayed in. Enjoy! ##### Ken G. Great Time This is a fantastic house and by far the nicest we have stayed in our many trips to Norris. Everything from the beds being comfortable to the fully stocked kitchen with double everything. The outside kitchen is awesome with all the seating to be able to grill, talk, and watch all the boats go by. We loved the covered dock for our boats plus there is a double jet ski ramp which was awesome to have with being on a main channel with all the wake.
