Loved our view looking out over the Citadel. Very clean, spacious rooms, liked the attention to recycling, composting, other eco-friendly policies. Very nice breakfast with lots of variety - prefer gala apples to red delicious - less tough. Music a bit noisy, throbbing at times in restaurant. Don't like the hotel's policy of providing wine for purchase right in the room. This easy access may cause problems for individuals who struggle with alcoholism. Front desk staff could do with being updated on local tourist info. We were directed to waterfront for tourist info, only to be told that Halifax Tourist Information facility there has been closed for over a year. Out-of-season tour brochures, (such as Hopper) should not be on display until companies are open for the season.

We loved the Lord Nelson! A little bit confusing with a staff elevator being right next to the guest elevators but we figured it out quickly!

Water is always freezing cold, but you will not find a more beautiful beach around.
