There’s no hot water at all. You need to take cold showers. The water pressure is also minimal. Rooms are fine, but the entire hotel is under construction so it’s very noisy all day. There’s nothing to do there other than two tiny beaches (enough to fit like 6 chairs each). No pools, no gift shops like the they say, not even different restaurants/ food. You get stuck in an island with the same food starting at a super tiny beach and that’s all. Very quiet. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Some of the staff speak English and Spanish. But most only speak Spanish. So if your Spanish is limited you may need to use a translator on your phone. But it is pretty easy to order food and plan activities even if your spanish is limited. It is possible to do almost everything with a credit card or US dollars. But I recommend bringing colombian mil pesos as it will be much easier. The food was amazing. I especially loved the "limonadas de cocos" (Coconut Lemonades). The snorkeling was amazing. The trees and water are gorgeous. It was like something out of a magazine. It was very cool to be able to kayak from mini island to mini island. I never had any problems with wifi or data. I splurged a lot on food and excursions but it actually turned out to be cheaper than I expected. The island was not packed with residents when we went, which was fantastic as the beaches were quiet and private. The spa is very relaxing. They have a lagoon on the island with bioluminescent plankton in the water at night. Very cool! The room can be locked and also has a safe. I felt very safe and secure on the island. No risk of theft or crime. My only complaint is the hot water did not work in our shower and they only put 2 towels in our room. But otherwise it was perfect. Probably the most beautiful vacation I have ever had.
