The elevator was a nice feature if one has difficulty with stairs, or for transporting luggage and groceries. It is a nice place to stay for a beach week or fun weekend. Doug and Lori are excellent hosts, and made an extra effort to welcome us and ensure we had everything we needed. If you like to boat and fish, or if you enjoy a quiet, uncrowded beach, Carrabelle in the winter is for you. The beach is a convenient 5 minute drive from Pirates Landing. This property is perfect for a couple’s weekend getaway. Everything at this property is very well thought out and very well kept up. The property owner is very responsive, communicates well and sincerely wants those staying here to have a good time. We enjoyed the pool to cool down in the evening and found others staying there to be friendly. Our weekend was spent exploring the nearby towns of Carrabelle, Eastpoint, St. George Island and Apalachicola. We found good local shops, restaurants and even a few microbreweries. The state park on St. George Island is fantastic. This part of the state is becoming a favorite destination of ours and this is a perfect property to explore it all from.
