Extra large 2nd floor apartment with huge modern kitchen, Ceasarstone counter tops, stainless steel appliances, beautiful high-end furnishings, vinyl wood-look floors. This is bright 2nd floor unit with lots of windows, ceiling fans in every room, and a very quiet and private atmosphere. Beautiful newly remodeled 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with brand new modern furnishings and amenities throughout, newly furnished in 2020. This recently renovated complex (2018) is half a block from the nicest beaches of Carpinteria and directly across from the Salt Marsh Reserve. Super quiet location, 200 yards from the sand, and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. This unit was recently furnished with high-quality contemporary leather and walnut furniture and contemporary art decor. Carpinteria is one of the last standing little beach towns in California, essentially unchanged in over 50 years. The city is limited in growth based by its physical boarders, making the entire town only about 1 mile square. Dozens of smaller mom and pop restaurants and cute beachy shops. Its a town where you young children can walk or bicycle safely, visiting old favorite shops like Robitelle's Candy shop, and The Spot burger joint. Then there's the beach! Protected by the Anacapa Island chain, Carpinteria is known as the World's Safest Beach. Your dogs will love it too, as the beach from our street (Ash Avenue) Northward, dogs are allowed with leashes. (If allowing dogs off-leash...be aware that the police occasionally ticket off-leash dogs and the ticket is expensive. We're located about 10 miles from world renown Santa Barbara, and 15 miles from the city of Ventura. Looking for. some shopping? Camarillo Outlet Mall is located 30 miles to the South. Northward you find dozens of wineries, Solvang, and all directions have dozens of great golf courses. Whether you're interested in shopping, dining, kayaking, whale watching, golfing, or just relaxing on the beach, Carpinteria vacation will become a fond memory that you and your family will yearn to repeat year after year. All of Carpinteria is easily walked in about an hour. There is also a cute public trolly and bicycles to rent (mostly summer). Amtrak stops many times each day for fast easy trip to Santa Barbara and points beyond. LAX is the International airport that serves the area, about 2 hours South. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenage boys) stayed in an apt in the 2nd (top) floor and it was clean, comfortable and spacious. It's not on the beach but a block away which was just fine for us. It has comfortable beds, modern appliances, and all the creature comforts you expect (internet, TV w/ streaming services, full kitchen). The units are clean, stylishly renovated (all updated), and well stocked. All units open into a central, courtyard (surrounded by all it's 4 sides). When guests congregate in the courtyard for an informal party, the noise reverberates throughout the entire unit. All you need is a few people talking, laughing and having a good time, unaware of the sound implication. Same for pets (barking dogs) that guests let out of their unit into the courtyard or just leave behind (barking just behind the closed door), or young children running around and playing. However, these issues were promptly addressed by the owner when we contacted them for help, as we knew folks and animals were unaware. Each time we did, the owners were responsive, kind, thoughtful and effective. For many of our stays, the entire complex has been quite since many of the guests realize the sound amplification nature of the common-area, central courtyard and respect the noise rules, which are quite explicitly written and placed on the kitchen counter of each unit. Overall, we enjoy returning to this VRBO complex - especially for its excellent location with short walking distance to the Carpinteria State Beach and a walkable location to multiple restaurants and bars in Carpinteria. ##### Grittymon P. The complex is literally a block away from a gorgeous beach - we'd grab one of the beach chairs and hang out, or go for a sunset stroll, or head south on a longer walk to see the seal sanctuary. It's also an easy walk to cafes in the town. There is a comfy couch for watching TV, a dining table for eating together, plus a well-equipped kitchen (Vitamix blender + Keurig coffee maker!). The king bed was very comfy; the twin beds for our college-age kids were maybe a bit small, but they didn't complain. I'd recommend bringing your own bottled water; the tap water is very hard/mineralized so I felt better about not drinking it directly from the tap. But great water pressure! Nice modern deco. Living room comfortably accommodates family of four. Plenty of sitting for eating meals at island bar or kitchen table. Bedroom closets have shelves and sliding bins built in with hanging areas and hangers. Beds and nightstands only furniture in bedrooms. Plenty of storage in kitchen and bathrooms. It’s a quiet complex and landlords want to keep it that way. In fact, they live below apartment 10\. There are other residents who permanently live on the premises. First time taking dog to beach! The place was spacious and clean, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The only confusing thing was on the VRBO site with the description of the rooms. All the beds were listed for Bedroom 1 and nothing listed for Bedroom 2\. The unit had 2 bedrooms, one was a master with a king, and the other bedroom had 2 twins. The home is beautifully updated and had so many amenities we didn't even realize we needed! It was a perfect setup for our family- the 2nd bedroom was set up with twin beds which would be great for older kids but there was plenty of room for our toddler's pack-n-play. The location cannot be beat. We walked everywhere- dinner, the park/playground, the seal rookery- and of course being so close to the beach is amazing. Carpenteria is such a special place and we hope to make this trip a summer tradition! One thing to know (in case it doesn't work for your family) is this apt is on the 2nd floor with no floor coverings so you need to be light-footed for your neighbors' sake, with a toddler we tried our best but felt so guilty for the pitter-patter of little feet that our neighbors heard. ##### Lauren T.
