Literally a few steps off back porch and you're on the beach. We walked from the house to the shops and boardwalk, maybe a mile at most. It's just close enough to the boardwalk to walk but it's far enough that you don't hear the mayhem. We are a family of six and we all fit comfortably in the accommodations. The beach was our backyard and absolutely amazing.
