Enjoy two balconies: one facing east towards the ocean, the other facing west for stunning sunsets. We’re at the North end of the island, right by the entrance to Freeman Park, where you can drive your 4-wheel drive vehicle onto the beach. Both bedrooms have beautiful views; the master looks over the ocean, the guest looks over the marsh. It’s a two minute walk to the beach but there’s a pool right downstairs if you’re feeling lazy :) The Space: Boho-beachy furnishings make this condo unique and cozy. We have two longboard surfboards for guest use (at your own risk). The two balconies allow for a refreshing cross breeze through the apartment when it’s cool enough to have the doors open. Listen to the ocean on the front balcony in the evening with a glass of wine, or enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning over-looking the marsh from the back balcony. Or stay cool in the comfortable A/C, perhaps watching tv and all the streaming services available with our system and high-speed wifi. We have a full kitchen should you desire to cook, but there are wonderful restaurants close by within the downtown of Carolina Beach. Guest Access: THis is a 4th floor unit and there is no elevator. The pool is located besidethe condo. The HOA opens the pool mid April and closes typically the second week in September, depending on weather The Neighborhood: We are at the North end of the island, a half a block away from the entrance to Freeman Park. Freeman Park is a historic location where you can drive onto the beach with your 4-wheel drive vehicle, and bring your dog (on-leash) all year round. The ocean is a block away, and beach access is very easy to get to, with one of many entrances located right beside the High Tide Lounge. We’re a mile from downtown Carolina Beach where you will find a ton of restaurants, bars, and shops. Getting Around: There are two parking spaces for our guests. If you have a four-wheel drive vehicle, you can drive onto the beach at Freeman Park. If you prefer to bike or use a golf cart while you’re here, there are many places to rent bikes in town. Please let your team at Going Coastal know if you need recommendations. Other Things to Note: Please note there are three flights of stairs to enter the condo. We are also pet friendly with an additional $50 fee. Please let us know before arriving We also supply the following for each property: A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everyone has their own preferences for these =) Please review our house rules prior to your stay There is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays. Convenient to everything and steps from the beach. The layout of the apartment is open and flows nicely with plenty of space for the four of us. The pool overlooks the marsh and is at your leisure. My 9 year old son took advantage of it daily while we brought drinks and snacks and lounged while he played. We had no issues so no communication was necessary. An easy walk to the beach, on a quiet end of the island. The house was no frills but comfortable. Extremely dog friendly (up to 2 dogs), walking distance to Dog Friendly Freeman Park, Carolina Beach Pier, and 1.5 miles from boardwalk and Marina! View was beautiful to me being able to see ocean on eastside and marshes on left and Snow Cut Bridge traffic! Close to the boardwalk (1mile), and convenient store. The condo is a tad small for four adults per say, but the decks made up for it. Gorgeous sunset views over the marsh. You could see a little of the ocean from the front deck. The place was clean and I liked the shower in the master bedroom. Washer and dryer worked great. Pet friendly was the bonus. The property was very clean and the location was great. It’s probably better for small families who don’t want to cook much and just want to be close to the beach. WiFi was decent and the TV was small. No real table to sit together to eat. The front and back patios were nice. Pet friendly but you have to walk your pet four flights of stairs which some may not like although to be fair, the property owner mentioned this in his communication. The bed in the bigger bedroom was very nice and comfortable but the second bedroom’s mattress was thin and uncomfortable. Thicker blankets in the winter months would have been nice. Place is very close to the beach and there is nothing like waking up to the sound of an ocean. Place was clean and the property manager was super responsive to all of my questions. I even wanted to stay past 10 am and he charged me a little bit extra and told me I can stay an additional night if I wanted to- which I did.
