"Fab room, central location. Picnic basket with crockery/cutlery in room for if you wanted a takeaway was a lovely idea. Parking space included with Orient suite."

"During stay for 3 nights had 2 rooms due to lack of cleanliness. Staff were accommodating for change of room, however when speaking to the owner Jason he was rude and dismissive. Front desk staff were also unhelpful at check out. Access to rooms was very difficult before 9am or after 10pm as front door was not open and had to access via fire exit."

"The full Cumbrian breakfast was swimming in fat, with rockhard poached eggs. The next day when I specifically said I didn't want anything fried, all grilled, it wasn't too bad."

"Clean, modern (but not too modern) and well-kept. Bed was comfortable with a great shower. Clearly recently renovated, excellent amenities. Dinner and breakfast both very good!"

"What a great stay. Kevin and Maria were very attentive, warm, and hospitable. This was our first night in UK after a long flight and felt like home. The accommodations were very nice and the king room was so cozy. The bed slept great and had everything we needed. The breakfast was first class but also made us feel like we were staying with family! Thanks for the great stay."

"Beautiful rural setting, new owners and the bar and dining rooms fully renovated in the last few months. Bedroom was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and pleasant and the food we had (dinner and breakfast) were excellent."

"What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot."
