We have stayed at this property twice now - both times for approximately 1 week each in the early winter (just after Thanksgiving). It is a well equipped house and we really like the fireplace in the "great" room as well as in the master bedroom (for the latter though, hopefully the management company will find the remote control, as it is better with it). We also really enjoy the hot tub - great placement and views from it. Parking for two cars is easy in the driveway (and you can fit an additional car in their garage if need be). Jul 11, 2024 #### Huckleberry Haven Hi: Beautiful house, but the house was completely dirty, really bad insect problem. We had spider crawling on us every night. The house was not cleaned. Dirty sheets, windows were so dirty you could barely see outside. Broken window so no ventilation through the kitchen. Broken towel holders in bathroom. Sad shape. ##### Jodi R. Jan 30, 2023 #### 5 The house was well equipped and very nice as depicted in photos. A strong snow storm had preceded our visit by a week so it would have been appreciated if the front walkway had been more substantially cleared of snow and ice. The rear walkway was actually dangerous, especially walking with luggage. I spent 2 hours improving the conditions the next day.The jacuzzi was great and the view of the Lake spectacular. Unfortunately the parking was very tight and streets in the vicinity were only one lane. Overall I was pleased with my experience with Tahoe Getaways ##### blaine w. The kitchen is under-furnished with subpar dish-ware, considering the price. I wonder why the lesser houses on the street have snow service while we shovel the walkway to get in and out of the house and into the room downstairs. The barbecue was unusable upon arrival as the deck had not been shoveled and only worsened with New Year's Eve snow. Interesting to watch the other rental houses walks and decks cleared of snow. We had such a wonderful time spending the week at this home. We had 8 adults total, four parents and four 22 year old boys. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things we needed to cook for the hungry group. The hot tup was amazing in the evenings with the stars so visible above. The beds were very comfortable and fans were provided in every room to place in the windows at night. Though there was no a/c in the house the fans in the windows at night cooled everything off nicely. The only thing we didn't know about was the bunkhouse room is a separate entrance on the first floor, not connected to the house. This worked out perfect for us as the boys have lived in dorms and frat houses together for years but I would be reluctant to put small children down there alone. If this is a concern the master upstairs suite is huge and has a separate office area where kids could sleep together, I did see an air mattress in one of the closets. All and all this property worked perfectly for our group and we would come back. Thank you to the Rodriguez Family for sharing your beautiful slice of paradise. ##### Ellen P. Particularly on the deck there is a table with four chairs but the area needs some lounge/sunning chairs. It's farther from the ski resorts if you planned a short trip but its close to the Nevada border and a Safeway! The home include almost everything you need, you just need to bring food. Apr 16, 2019 #### Worth the money This rental was excellent: beautiful lake views, far from the noise of the road, well stocked, clean carpets, high end kitchen/bathrooms, nice beds, pet friendly etc. My only complaint (par for the course with VRBO) is that the rate ends up being 50%+ more than the listed price after taxes and fees. An all inclusive price is always appreciated. Also for $400/night firewood should be included because it’s expensive at the store by the bundle and cheap by the cord.
