"The proprietors were charming folks and resident Alaskans. They provided a wonderful breakfast, taking into account our dietary preferences. They also were interesting in that they housed firefighters who had been working to control wildfires threatening some of Alaska's beautiful natural areas."
"Property was centrally located in the downtown area of Fairbanks, restaurants were walkable. Hotel was clean. AC didn’t work as well as we would have wanted but who would have thought you would need ac in Alaska. Didn’t realize the homeless population was that bad, but they did a good job of keeping them out of the hotel. "

10/10 Excellent
"Great welcoming staff. The shower was really small. Which is only a big deal if you like a roomy shower. Apparently also the rooms upstairs had a normal size shower so just fyi. The rest of the property and room were great. "
"The place was cute, clean, inviting, and comfortable. Ben left a nice welcome letter and snacks for us too! We got to meet him while we were there and he was incredibly nice and made our stay enjoyable. I will definitely look to stay here again next year! "

"This place was perfect for us. We wanted something near our friends who were staying at Rivers Edge RV Park and this was about two miles away. The garage apartment was comfortable with plenty of amenities. Dr Yamamoto was overly friendly and caring and checked in with us to make sure everything was good. He even gave us a ticket for four to the playoffs of Fairbanks' semi-pro baseball team...GO GOLDPANNERS! We and another couple so enjoyed the game. If you're ever looking for a place to stay while in Fairbanks...this is the one! Thank you, Dr Yamamoto."
"We stayed here our first and last nights in Alaksa. It was great both times. Ben was super accommodating, being able to do a load of laundry was so nice, it's so quiet, SO clean, bathroom amenities were so nice. 10/10 recommend!! The only thing I recommend is bringing eye masks to sleep in as the bedroom doesn't have black out shades and it's never dark in July. :)"
"We loved staying here while visiting Fairbanks. Hosts were wonderful and the unit was stocked with everything we could need- they even provided an air purifier which helped during the wildfires. Definitely would stay here again."
