Fantastic Hotel beautiful setting. Food was fabulous and the service. Staff on reception very welcoming efficient and very obliging at any request I made. Housekeeping staff incredible always greeted me.
Everything great about the hotel except room 124. The room was right beside the heating system that kept us awake for 2 nights. We paid E388 for this noisy room and one would need google maps to find. We got a brick wall outside our window last stay. We won't be returning again.
Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly, especially one particular bar man who was so accommodating and friendly. Nice little fairy garden on the grounds for the kids. 5 min drive into the town centre.
My family loved staying here. Our room was clean and perfect for our family of 4. The hotel restaurant on site had delicious food and the staff throughout the hotel were so kind. We only got to stay one night but would have loved to have stayed longer

Good afternoon Rajneesh,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent stay.I was disappointed to read your comments in regard to the water as this is not the standard we strive to provide. We had an issue with one of our boilers which affected the hot water in one wing of the hotel. Unfortunately being a weekend we had to wait for a plumber to be available to come in and fix it. All our boilers have since been reviewed and serviced before the summer season. We take all feedback on board and appreciate the time it takes to leave feedback. The employees here were extremely friendly & competent!! They went out of their way to help us with a few things. From front desk, to bar staff, to breakfast team. Thank you!
The staff at Woodford Dolman were pleasant, however, I made 3 calls to the front desk for assistance with a remote. The carpet in my room was stained in multiple places and dirty. Not something that was hidden but in numerous places on a light grey carpet. A bulb was out in a lamp and needed to be replaced. Made me feel that the room was never checked before the room was given to me.
Walls are paper thin. I could hear the next room's patron yawning and snoring.
There was no access to drinking water except to walk into the restaurant. No mini fridge or microwave in the rooms. No gym! Although there is space and room for it.
The food wasn't good. Not many vegetarian or vegan options. There was probably one thing I could eat.
I would say this hotel is good for hosting day events but not great for overnight stays.
The staff was pleasant and responsive to the issues with my room and offered an upgrade.
Their staff more than make up for any niggles (i.e em groining plumbing from time to time) and not to mention the absolutely lovely location. I had views over the river barrow and beyond. Breakfast service was stellar, clean attentive and professional staff. The breakfast itself was both filling, a good solid Irish breakfast.
Bar/Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.
Reception staff also very pleasant, especially the night porter that checked me in at 02:00hrs. Very impressed with this hotel.

Clean, friendly hotel. Third stay for myself in about a fifteen years, and staff were very nice to deal with, at reception, bar and restaurant. If you are booking for Carlow, this is where you should stay. Not walking distance from the town but a short taxi ride.
The rubber ducks are a lovely touch.
