My wife, grandchildren, and I had a wonderful time at the motel. The employees were most personable and accommodating. They provided directions to local attractions and suggestions as to activities for the "kids." the breakfast provided in the morning was awesome! I would definitely look for a Days Inn in future travels!
We were only in town for one night but needed a place to stay that was close to our venue. Reviews of other local places encouraged us to compare a lot of local places and we are glad we picked this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Check in and check out were simple. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The bed felt fantastic to sleep in. Overall great place to stay.
We had a great Thanksgiving with family and friend lots of good food and wine. Travel back and forth was good and on time.
Our only problem was a loud fan near our hotel room which was reported to front desk upon leaving but wasn't that bad to spoil a great visit.
The reception staff suggested a Carlisle restaurant for dinner and it proved to be a delightful restaurant so I very much appreciated their recommendation. The first day of my three night stay the maid service did not get to my room until after 5 pm which was disappointing and inconvenient. The room's air/heat control lacked an off indicator and with the fan on, was quite noisy, making sleeping a challenge. The fitness center is really a disappointment, lacking in size and equipment, and the TV--a must when exercising--had limited channels and no network channels or cable news channels, but Nickelodeon, MTV and Cartoon chanels were available when no one under 18 could use the facility!
Great rooms with excellent beds for a good night's sleep. Easy access out doors to walk the dog with plenty of grass and areas for them to do their business. Staff is excellent and very helpful. Breakfast is great with plenty of choices for hot and cold items. We stay here often because it's such a great place and near malls, restaurants, etc.
In historic downtown, restored buildings like the Carlisle Theater add charm. Antique shops, galleries, and boutiques line Pomfret and High streets. Dickinson College, near the main square, was the first college chartered by the U.S. The Carlisle Barracks and Army Heritage Museum illustrate the rich military history. Ten auto shows and other events are hosted annually at the Carlisle Fairgrounds.
