Less services because of Covid, and not very soundproof : if you have a room on the side of the street, if your neighbors are making noise during the night-if you know what i mean- it even made our bed shaking. Way too expensive for the room.

À l'arrivée cet hôtel plaît par son architecture. Mais à 6:00 le matin la chambre est inondée de soleil. Il y a une grande fenêtre au dessus de la porte et pas de rideaux! Évitez la chambre 201!!! Les oreillers sont énormes et vraiment pas confortables. Le téléviseur ne fonctionnait pas du tout. Ce sont des choses qui se règlent facilement mais la gestion ne doit pas tenir compte des recommandations de ses clients puisque l'hôtel existe depuis de nombreuses années et que ces problèmes ne sont pas réglés. Très décevant!

Building looks good, but bad smell entering by the main entrance because of old dirty carpet at the front desk and in the stairs and dirty tile floors. I visited 3 rooms and they were full of dust everywhere. Bed was comfortable and clean at least. Vinyl tile broken in the bathroom. Nobody answered to the phone most of the time and after 5;00pm no one at the front desk. Only the Pub was open for dinner, but closed early and no possible breakfast at the hotel.

Devant neiger à l'extérieur car aucune chambre n'était disponible irectement à Ottawa, j'ai découvert cet hôtel et wow. Acceuil impressionnant,chambre spacieuse etc. Le tout accompagné dun super souper au restaurant de l'hôtel, le Smith and Barrel ou j'ai pu découvrir un chef qui aime ce qu'il fait. Salade césar originale accompagné d'un plat de saumon extraordinaire. A essayer

Personnel n’est pas formé et diligent. Je suis demeuré dans l’attente d’un appel sur mon cell ou texto m’indiquant que ma chambre était prête.5h15 +tard j’ai appeler et on m’a indiquer que c’etait Prêt. j’ai demandé un réveil et l’ai reçu 18 minutes plus tard que l’heure demandée, le préposé m’indiquant qu’il était occupé et à passé tout droit. L’ultime...plancher de salle de bain qui pelait, pas propre (poils) et au sortir de la douche, j’ai du lancer une serviette sur une bibitte d'humidité qui se promenait à toute vitesse. J’écris rarement mais svp ne pas recommandé plus que 2 étoiles,spécialement pour le prix payé.

The property was impressive in that it keeps the beauty of decades ago. However, it does not provide today's convenience. For example, the bathroom was so small and had no space for things you need. I was somewhat disappointed.

Very comfortable stay, would recommend to anyone who asks for a recommendation! The room was kind of small compared to larger hotels but definitely worth the stay. Sooooo many pillows were given too which was amazing since I love pillows. The room was very clean as well and the staff were so sweet!

We liked the elevator as we had a 3rd floor room. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Only area to improve would be a comfy chair or bench at the foot of the bed. Bathroom is very small but great smelling soap, shampoo and body wash.

The atmosphere caters to romance. Their specialtie appears to be catering to weddings and is perfect for that. As for just traveling by and to tired to go out, l would have liked a small microwave and a comfy chair.

My husband and I loved the hotel. It was beautifully furnished with care from the main floor to the third floor. When I called the front desk for assistance someone immediately responded. The amenities were within walking distance - a German bakery, exquisite coffee shop, and a takeout restaurant that served huge portions. My husband and I are looking forward to our next date weekend there.

A historic gem
Wonderful heritage hotel with amazing public rooms with a magnificent historic feel. During my visit the hotel was being renovated in various areas but the owners kept me informed before I arrived and during my brief stay. The town is equally charming with a wonderful river frontage. Because the hotel restaurant was closed for the renovations, I ate at The Waterfront which was wonderfully welcoming and served great beer and food.

A Little Disappointed
The location of the hotel is ideal for walking and convenient to restaurants and downtown facilities. The exterior entrance, lobby, common areas and art work are eye-catching. A nice touch was the 2 bottles of water provided and the fresh coffee creamers available in the room fridge. The king bed was very comfortable. However, our third-floor room needed some attention (bathroom floor paint peeling off the tiles, burnt out bulb in bathroom fixture, no mat for wet winter boots so hardwood floor became a mess quickly). There are many possibilities here and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. We would definitely try it again another time.

It was a wonderful stay. It was our wedding anniversary and they surprised us with a beautiful table for two and celebration balloons in our room. Moreover, the staff was really sweet and everyone wished up and it made our day very special. Hotel has a nice vintage appeal to it. Nice cute town. Enjoyed our stay.
