Good location for my trip to Cardiff. With a heavy suitcase I found the entrance steps unwelcoming. Would prefer the smoking area not to be at the hotel entrance.

Lovely staff checking in and in restaurant and bar. Should have had some bottled water in room also as booked for dog friendly a water bowl in room would have been good

Fabulous communal spaces, clearly recently renovated - foyer, bar and restaurant were lovely. ‘Spa’/pool is looking very tired, steam room out of order. Room was nice, bathroom excellent. Biggest impact was the room phone was out of order, meaning I couldn’t call for room service or complain about the idiot who was making a huge noise at 3-3:30am. With a young daughter with me it was impactful.

Good location , nearby city center and so many restaurants around . Baseman parking space convenient for guest but very small and tight . Room is clean , mattress very comfortable ; however , sound isolation poor as we can heard cars running , people shouting in the street ... Worse part is - we booked a room with three twine beds , but only got three single beds !

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff. My only complaint is the excessive parking charges, you would think customers staying over night would receive some discount. £21 is very expensive and really makes a difference to the overall cost of stay .

Good location for us. The pool and surrounding area were pretty dirty so I did not bother going in. Rooms need a refresh but common areas seemed updated. General service from staff was average. I would not choose to stay in the hotel again as I feel the experience did not reflect the cost.

This is a great, central hotel. We visited Cardiff to watch the rugby and the stadium was an easy walk away. We also felt really safe walking back to the hotel after dark. Parking at the hotel was already full when we arrived so we followed instructions to the nearby NCP car park which has 1000 spaces. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Our room was enormous with a fantastic view of the city. We really enjoyed everthing about our stay

Lovely to have a pool and parking in a city centre hotel. Food was good. Room had a bath and shower and a decent sized TV. Large comfy bed, 2 armchairs and a desk and chair. Well thought through. Parking is expensive but it was convenient.

Wonderful stay.
The hotel was lovely, clean and peaceful. The rooms are extremely spacious and so was the bed. The separate bath/shower was a bonus of which they both offered instant hot water. The amazing view of the sunrise was lovely. Unfortunately the veiw of the derelict building next to one side of the building was sad to see, but obviously no fault of the hotel if they don't own the adjoining building. The staff are friendly,polite and helpful, from the room attendant throughout to management.

Disappointing, not worth the money
Disappointing stay for all the family, I would choose other places in Cardiff instead of here for same price. We booked 3 rooms. Two were not ready for check in at 3pm, we had to wait until 4:40pm for one of the rooms! If messed up our evening plans. Having paid extra for a privilege room we were very disappointed to be kept up all night by the sound of the lift shaft & pulleys by the room!

Great stay
Lovely hotel . Easy to get to from Queen st station and 5 mins walk to shopping centre. Clean and comfortable bedrooms , and staff helpful and friendly.

Very good.
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Clean room with excellent bathroom. Could do with some extra lighting option in rooms for those without bat-like night vision. Will use this hotel again.

In our 3 single bed room one bed had bid dip in it which was changed by housekeeping, we stayed 4 nights and house keeping replenished drinks tray and cleaned our room on our last night, rooms were very dated and stains on carpet, rooms need updating. The rest of the hotel the bar and restaurant were lovely and staff very friendly and accommodating.

Would recommend
Well organised, clean and modern hotel. Spa is good although pool is very cold. Parking really good. View from the room was brilliant.
