This was exactly what we needed for our trip!! My partner and I are rock climbers, we visit this area often to climb at the Holy Boulders in Pomona, and we came up at this time to see the eclipse. Usually we camp or stay up in Carbondale, but we are already looking at coming back here for our next trip! Alto Pass is so cute and cozy, and it was so nice to come back here and recharge after long days of climbing and hiking in the woods. Steve is an awesome host, and his spot is fully equipped with supplies. The kitchen is fantastic!! Loved the porch right outside to enjoy the nice spring weather. We’ve already told many of our friends about this place and raved about how great it is. We didn’t check out any of the wineries, but everything is in such close proximity and looks so great that I can see why people visit for that. HIGHLY recommend staying here!!!! ##### McKenzie M. We had a great time. The house was slightly smaller than I envisioned, but still perfect for our weekend away. The town was peaceful and pretty. Very near some really nice overlook scenery. The Havisham Burbon Bar was literally across the street and down block. Don't miss this place, even if you don't think you like burbon. The best feature of the house is for sure the shower. Huge, walk in shower with a rain shower head and second detachable shower head as well. And...and...HOT WATER. As a parent of many children I NEVER get any hot showers. This was bliss. My husband and I were traveling to visit relatives and needed a place to stay near Anna, IL. This house is very clean and the beds provided a restful night’s sleep. We had read other reviews which commented on the shower and they were right. The shower is great! Also, we were so happy to have a washer and dryer at the house. Steve made communication easy and provided all the little things that made the stay comfortable.
