As others have noted, definite road noise, but the windows and doors effectively shut it out. Dec 10, 2024 #### The Sopris Sundeck was an awesome place to stay. The Sopris Sundeck was perfect for our family. We loved the privacy, convenient location, wildlife, and the view from every room is beautiful! The kitchen had everything we needed if we wanted to cook and restaurants were close by if we choice to eat out. The host was great and responded quickly to any questions or concerns. Wasn't a real issue for us with music on during the day and white noise at night, but the deck is loud. Home was nice and clean with plenty of supplies. Could have probably used some upgrades/new pots and pans, but didn't really cook so wasn't big deal. Enjoyed our stay and the pup really enjoyed the deck! ##### Deb V. The view was iconic and the house itself was clean, comfortable, and everything we needed for a mountain getaway. The drive into Aspen/Snowmass was about 30-40 minutes and only 5-10 into Carbondale. The location is private yet 5 mins to downtown Carbondale, 10 mins to the dog trial, and 20 mins to Glenwood. This home has the absolute best view of Mount Sopris, is clean, and is decorated beautifully. I loved staying here and hope to be back soon. ##### Heather P. The site of Mount Sopris was beautifu! Your place was perfect for our family! We had reservations for Iron Mountain Springs and rafting on the CO River and this was only a short drive to either place. The home supplied everything we needed while there. Sitting on the back deck, viewing the mountain and river, was so relaxing. The host gave great directions to home, gave information about restaurants, and activities to do. It was a very comfortable home for four adults. We were so surprised by how beautiful this place was when we first pulled up! It was a perfect snowy winter day and we had a stunning view of Mount Sopris directly from every window in the house. It was clean, cozy, and the perfect size for 3 people, especially because there are two full sized bedrooms and bathrooms. It was an easy 40 min drive to Aspen, where we were spending some time. Short drive to Glenwood Springs and also Aspen. The are had so much to do but it was also perfect to sit T the home on the deck. Every evening we saw mule deer down in the valley. It was close to all of the things we wanted to do. It was very clean. The views are spectacular and just what we wanted. The kitchen was equipped with the basics. They were short on kitchen towels and pot holders which they think went missing. They were going to re-stock those items. You do have to take a flight of stone steps from where you park to where you stay. So guests with mobility issues might have problems. My only observation was road noise from the busy highway could be heard in the house. It didn't ruin our stay but if you are wanting a super quite experience you need to consider that.
