The cabin I clean, spacious, and welcoming. The location is secluded and quiet which is nice to relax on the deck or around a campfire after a long day. It’s just far enough out of town where you have peace of mind but still super close to Murphysboro and close to Carbondale for a quick drive into town. Also located at the beginning of the wine trail. Comes with some games in the basement and tons of firewood is provided with your stay. You can also relax by fishing in the pond adjacent to the cabin. Overall I can’t think of anything negative to say about the owner and the cabin. One of my favorite place ever! It sits right on a pond that my two sons fished on everyday. They caught bass crappie and blue gill. The house was very spacious and clean. I was shocked to not see ANY bugs since it is in a wooded area. Major plus!!! The kitchen had everything we needed. The host very responsive when we needed her. The lakes were about 15 min away, shopping was about 25 min away. There are plenty of wineries and hikes. I do recommend going to giant city and eating at the lodge there. It was delicious!
