"The attendant at the desk was very polite and efficient checking us in, as well as bringing a pillows to us. The pillows were alil flat so i needed more. I really like how the deluxe room had 2 TVs and how the wall kinda separated the 2 groups of ppl ( esp during sleeping hours) Coffee hours in lobby were not available during the evening only morning Parking was available and we felt our cars were safe and secure. My friends sat out on balcony and said it was pleasant, to people watch. We would stay there again, prices for the room was average."

"Pretty convenient location and a decent price compared with the astronomical price of many other options. Adequate parking and walkable distance to the downtown and plenty of dining options. I would stay again but would make sure my room was not immediately adjacent to the ice machine ( foot traffic of people getting ice) and the pool ( kids birthday parties etc not great if you’re trying to rest). Air conditioning was a bit loud tbh at least in my room - but on the plus side their wasn’t any drama at night or noise and I think they keep a close eye on the place- it’s a motor court arrangement with rooms facing out so could be vulnerable to randoms wandering through but there was no problem."

"Everybody traveling through Santa Cruz should stay at the Monarch Cove Inn. Come to see the Monarch butterflies. Or watch for whales and otters from the deck! The rooms are pretty and comfortable. The staff are very helpful."

"It is a really lovely property, in a historic building, with very kind staff, a wine hour, fresh breakfast and cookies. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the beach shops too."

"A quaint hotel right smack dab in the middle of town…the free taxi to Shadowbrook was a plus! We walked everywhere which we appreciated as we enjoy a cocktail every now and then."
