The property was located at an exlusive location on tyger valley and you can watch an unblocked sunset at the buffet restaurant (The hotel is located on a hill). The buffet has a small selection but the food is tasty and it does the job. The property is also located at a very safe place on tyger valley. Staff is very polite and helpful as the booking from Expedia did not go through to their booking systems, but fortunately the ops manager helped to clarify with Expedia to sort it out. Overall a great experience.

Plenty of secure parking for free at the hotel. Parking next to your rooms. Great views over the city. Large rooms, with large twin beds. Large bathroom. Heated / air conditioned. The staff are very friendly, greeting guests with a smile. The food and service is excellent. We had dinner and breakfast which was plentiful and delicious. Chef cooks fresh eggs, omelette how ever you like it. I recommend this hotel to fellow travellers.

Top price, but no DSTV.
The hotel has no sports channels other than soccer. Also, for a premium rated hotel, with a premium price, there should be alternative options for DSTV.

The geyser packed up on New Year’s Eve so we had a cold shower. The next morning (new year’s day) we had to shower in another room and they were going to repair the shower in our room. That evening the water was hot, however on the 2 Jan, the water was cold again an we had to shower in another different room. Because of this, we missed breakfast for 4 on both those mornings. I asked Andre, the manager for a refund for our 2 days of lost breakfast, but he said he couldn’t because we booked via Expedia. Please can Expedia or Hotels.com arrange for our refund soonest? Thank You

Not so good, first upon arrival reception area was unattended, then we had to shout in all directions to be received. When signing in, there were arguments about whether I really booked a room with two double beds, until I was able to locate an email on my phone verifying that. Resturant staff were not very friendly, the hotel should really train its people in " people skills" to be nicer to guests. Checking out, another argument about use of a prokard, this was finally resolved through calling one of the managers as one of the reception ladies was really geared up for arguments. We found a dead huge insect when we arrived, it remained there for the rest of our stay, which calls into question how the rooms are cleaned. The room was very draftly with strong dust stench, I think when guests are going to move in, the room should be ventilated form morning of that day to make it fresher. During breakfast, my niece tried to get a crossiant, lots of mosquitoes oozed out of it and she ended up not being able to eat anything. I have stayed in varous Protea hotels in South Africa, this rates much lower then most, I was actually very dissapointed as it was my first time in Cape Town and the image on internet is very misleading, it looked good on internet, but my what a dissapointment!

I booked it because it was close to the airport. I had to pay extra on all the cabs because of the distance from the beach. Next time I might rent a car in capetown because of the distances.

Convenient stay in CapeTown
Excellent service. Restraunt and bar service and food very good. Rooms are western standard and clean. Pool was adequate, but very busy. Would stay again.
