Quiet and comfortable
Quiet and comfort! I slept well for the first time in a year. I really liked this hotel. Had a quiet room facing table mountain, a lovely tub (no water restriction at this time) and managed to have a restful night's sleep. Walkable distance to where I needed to be. Breakfast was incredible and chef accommodated my order (half-sized breakfast). Alternative milk options are available. And lovely and accommodating staff. All round a great spot to stay.

Hidden gem in the city
The location of this hotel was ideal as I needed to be close to the HC. Also feels very safe to walk to nearby attractions like the museum and company gardens. Breakfast was great and hotel finishings were modern and classy. Very spacious and quiet rooms!

Beautiful view of Table Mountain
For a week-long stay in Cape Town, we reserved a large room facing Table Mountain and Lion's Head, and the view was spectacular. As we always do, we put in a special request for a high floor, and unlike most hotels that either don't receive special requests or disregard them, 15 on Orange gave us the highest floor for the room we reserved. The room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful - housekeepers, desk clerks, breakfast buffet staff, bartender, concierges, porters. The housekeepers even replaced the king-sized mattress with two twins for us. Breakfast was excellent, including individually prepared omelets and lots of high quality hot and cold options. The pool area was nice. The hotel is well located, within walking distance of the Castle. Bo-Kaap, and the city center, and a short cab ride to the waterfront, the Table Mountain cable car, and other attractions. The concierge booked very nice and inexpensive excursions for us to the wine country and the Cape Peninsula. There were two small drawbacks. First, there were some relatively minor lapses in service - some days we didn't get toiletries replaced, for instance, and some days we didn't get bottled water as promised. Second, the room had some odd quirks - there were two TVs, but only one remote that operated both, and there were no bedside outlets or charging stations. And guests should be warned of daily power outages during summer season.

We stayed for five days and would definitely t recommend. Breakfast was excellent, more choice than was needed of both hot and cold items! Friendly and attentive staff. Allowed us a late check out until 12.30 which was appreciated.

One of the best stays I have ever had in a hotel. Excellent property and staff. The attention to detail is something I have never experienced before. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The caretaking team did an impeccable job. The staff in the main floor (desk, concierge, restaurant, bar, front door etc.) were very professional but also engaging and friendly. The food (breakfast and dinner) and restaurant service was superb.

The rooms are large with well sized and well appointed bathrooms. The common areas are comfortable and stylish. From a very warm welcome to very good bar service, the service is exceptional. The only thing that needs some attention is the quality of breakfast. It is adequate and has lots of options but is not particularly memorable.

This is our favorite hotel in Cape Town, not only for the location and fab chic comfort, but for the staff as well. The staff are excellent and welcome us back with warmth—many are still there after +4 years (the period over which we have stayed). We love the large rooms. Although major renovations were underway, we were put into a room that had little sound interference. The noise in the reception, dining and other public areas was pretty horrendous. The staff were so concerned about its effect on guests and were informative about plans. We understood that change happens—though not all guests felt that way.

No hot water in the shower. We explained the problem to the staff who said they would check, and then told us there was no problem. We heard another couple having the same experience during their check out, and a staff member explained to them that is due to the water flow limiters they have installed on their showers.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is beautiful and very good value for money. The only thing that needs some attention is the travel desk. I know that this is an outsourced company, but their bad service do not do your hotel any justice. I ordered a car for the 8th of January. I made it very clear to the lady when I made the arrangements on the 6th of Jan, that I need to pick up the car not later than@ 9h00 in the morning, since we had to meet friends in Fishoek for the day. When I arrive at the desk to collect the car, she never arranged the car and when the gentleman assisted me he mentioned that I will have to wait 15min for a car. The car finally arrived an hour and 30 minutes later. The lady from the rental agency was rude and the car was not what I asked for. Therefore our day outing was cancelled. Please look into this, since I am sure that I am not the only customer that was unhappy that day Regards Catherine

Did not live up to the expectation
The hotel is on a great location and the facade is really nice. However upon checking in there were immediately red flags. We had to pay R65 a day to park our rental car in the basement. We initially were given a standard deluxe room when we had booked a deluxe suite which they swapped and had the excuse that it was the same room with a different configuration which it obviously was not. The rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. Our room had a burnt couch and peeling wallpaper. However, I found the hotel's cleanliness to be quite appalling. Our rooms carpets and curtains looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time. Also the mirrors and glass doors were filthy and looked as if they had not been cleaned

We had a nice two day stay. The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable. We were able to walk to all the restaurants and bars on Kloof and Bree. Nice location because it's close to everything but still quiet and feels tucked away.

15 on Orange-African Pride Hotel
I stayed there for 6 nights and each day our room was cleaned and bedding pulled down with a water bottle on my bedside table. The hotel also has a parking deck, which is great if you decided to rent a car like I did-the daily rate was very reasonable. The gym was small and un airconditioned on the day I visited. The pool deck, while also small, had a great lounging area and awesome views of Table Mountain. The back of the spa is up against the pool so if you're getting a massage, you might hear the pool goers outside. The food in the hotel restaurant was okay as well-not fantastic, but it was nice to have a place for a quick bite and some coffee. My only real complaint was the concierge services-they were terrible! They didnt know the neighborhood and couldnt give us directions to any nearby restaurants or shops. They were quick to overcharge us for transport on the nights we didnt want to drive to dinner. All in all, Id definitely recommend someone to stay there if they were in Capetown.
