It was pretty cool overall. The bbq area made it so much better. The owner was a bit too tight, but it’s ok. Our last day he said you can use the pool up to 12pm and park up to 1pm. I mean,, come on… The motel was completely empty, and he still followed these rules.

I stayed at this property 09/01-09/02. The room was clean , however the bedsheets were old, and so were the towels ( some were gray, some had holes in them ). The AC was old, noisy and smelly . The staff was courteous. The pool was one of the few nice things about this property.

Clean and close to beach.
We were pleasantly surprised by this room. The grounds were nice, the room was clean. Only concern was if the towel hanging in the bathroom behind the door was unused. It was hanging on a hook when we got there and didn't look fresh. The 4pm check in policy is a bit, meh. That's honestly kind of late in the day. For the next day, check out, we asked if we could stay parked there until we were ready to leave the beach the next day. The gentleman said we could stay on tne grounds until 12. Seemed a bit ridiculous when the facility was not fully booked. However, there was ample meter parking nearby. Overall, would stay here again.

This was my first time staying in a motel since my HS gradation 1988. Area was very nice and safe. Very close to beach and clean. Owners are very nice and hard working. This was a last minute trip for my teen daughters who wanted to go to wildwood because friends were here, and because OC is so boring to them. Overall the stay was adequate but overall prices are high everywhere at the NJ beach. I just came back from Nashville at 4 star hotel and paid the same price as this one. The only bummer is the musty smell of the rooms but I am sure the owns can’t help it because of the humidity. I would go back to the area, but would pick a motel that had later check out time. 10 am is too early.

Older building, but fairly well maintained. No breakfast. Coffee machine in room, but pods available for purchase in the office which was closed. A nice $100 room that we paid $250 to stay in. 🤔

We pride ourselves in cleanliness, and even personally check each room before it is rented. Our rates are for double occupancy, so there is an additional fee for any unregistered guests.

Blue Water is the best.
I love Blue Water. The owners are sweetest and always take great care of us. We return every year and Kandra(forgive me if I spelled it wrong) is so kind and welcoming.

Older hotel in good condition. Very clean and upkeep good. Checked in late and although there was a keurig in the room there was no coffee. Sign said available in office for .25 Office not open at night or early morning so no coffee! Should give you at least one or two to start Also charge for ice

I've been going to Wildwood Crest on and off since the early 1960s. The Blue Water Motel is a motel from that era. It all looked so familiar to me. The room we stayed had fresh paint, fresh carpet, I believe new bathroom tile. It was just a little tight, but nothing terrible. The furniture looked like it was relatively recently purchased. The room, the grounds and the pool are kept very clean. For my wife and me, this is an ideal beach hotel. It was a good price and it is a short walk (single digit number of minutes) to the beach. It takes longer to walk from the start of the beach to the water than to walk to the beach from the motel. The room has a Keurig coffee maker for which I had bought a few dozen store brand K-cups. I also brought a stack of paper coffee cups so my wife and I could drink our normal morning coffee. We will probably go back around the same time next year for another 3 night mid week get-away.

The property is pristine clean with a nice pool. The paint seems fresh and the fixtures in good repair. A great place to stay if you miss the beach experience circa 1970.

Horrible, horrible motel!
The concierge was completely disrespectful by pointing her finger and using manipulative language stating that children under 4 count as adults and overcharged is for a room that smelled like complete body odor. We all woke up itchy and I almost hurled when brushing my teeth because of the horrible BO smells. In addition, the dresser smelled like horrible mold that crept throughout the room. We are completely horrified and will probably never return to Cape May due to this experience.

The only complaint was the noise from the unit above. I realize that's not something that the hotel can easily control and is mostly due to the construction of the property, but we needed to be up early. By putting us on the upper level, this would not have been an issue. Other than that the property was fine and the owners were great.
