Two floors of living space includes 4 spacious bedrooms, an open dining and living area and 2 and 1/2 baths. Step outside onto your charming porch and be transported back in time: quaint Victorian houses, horse-drawn carriages, gas lights, and merriment. This property lets you vacation in the best of both worlds while being steps away from the beautiful Cape May beaches and Washington Street Mall shopping area. One of the best features of this space is the flexibility to relax on your own porch, and enjoy a glass of wine, or dine with family and friends at your leisure. Other vacationers pay top dollar to spend the evening on the neighboring verandas of award-winning restaurants lining historic Jackson Street. It is in the most perfect location & truly is in the heart of everything. The owner was very responsive and kind. Overall we had a wonderful trip for Christmas in cape may. We plan to return for the summer as well. Only “complaint” was the basement was very cold. It was fine for us since we didn’t have too many people where anyone really needed to sleep downstairs. The house itself is spectacular - spacious, super clean, nice furnishings & modern appliances, all the amenities you could want. It has really nice, spacious porches and a separate living room and dining room area too - It's a very roomy stay. The location puts you right next to places you'll want to be - steps from the Washington Mall, Cape May Boardwalk, the Convention Center, many Restaurants. It's also a very short ride up to Sunset Beach, Cape May Lighthouse, the Parks, Nature preserve, and Cold Springs village. What really puts it over the top though is the property's private driveway with 2 parking spaces. You can just leave the car(s) there, walk out the door, half-a-block down, and you're at the Washington Street mall, or go about a block-and-a-half in the other direction and you're on Beach Ave and the Boardwalk! Anyone who has driven down on the weekend and had to find/pay for parking knows why that's a big deal. Plus, the host Steve is super kind and helpful. This year we wanted to try a new place and this house did not disappoint! The house itself was beautiful - inside and out; well appointed, clean and a perfect location for going to both town and the beach. We never had to drive anywhere! The dining room and window seat were our favorite room - with a race to see who could claim the window seat first when we’d return from being out. The side porch was lovely for coffee in the morning and reading in the afternoon. Our only complaint was the temperature difference between the basement bedrooms and the main floor living room/bedroom. A few extra blankets were needed downstairs. The location is minutes from the beach and only seconds from the shops and nightlife. We had so much fun in Cape May and the property lent itself to just enough space for six empty nester moms who came to celebrate my birthday and to get away. The living room and porches provided a great area for all of us hanging out together and the dining room became the make-up room with all of our make-up mirrors (hope that was ok, lol) and there is parking!!! The host Steve was also super helpful and friendly. Lastly, the location is truly Amazing - great dining is literally steps away from your front door and the Washington Mall & Commons, Congress Hall, Cape May Convention Center, and the Boardwalk are all within a 5–7-minute walk. Cape May Lighthouse, Sunset Beach, and Cape May Point Park & wildlife area are all less than a 10-minute drive away. There was plenty of room for 8 adults and we really appreciated the spacious common areas and kitchen. The host was very responsive and helpful. The house is in an excellent location and we were able to walk to restaurants, the grocery store, and the beach. Would stay here again. ##### Jackie M. It was within walking distances to all the sites close by as well as the beach. I would suggest bringing extra paper towels n bath tissue if you are going to be there for at least 3 or more nights and depending on number in your party. It is large, spacious, and comfortable for our family of 5 (3 kids age 10, 13, and 15). We were able to relax and enjoy each other’s company, especially on the porch.
