Southern Comfort is situated in the highly desirable SW Cape on a small peninsula off of Cape Coral Parkway with views of one of the 8 Lakes. The home is centrally located with Gulf Access, near to restaurants and shopping near Tarpon Point Marina and the Westin Hotel. If you enjoy tranquility but being in the center of great conveniences, you have come to the right place. This location offers a quick drive to all main locations in Cape Coral. It is about 10 minutes to Matlacha, 30 minutes to Fort Myers Beach and about 45 minutes to Florida International Airport depending on traffic and time. Guests can enjoy all that SW Florida has to offer from the convenience of an immaculate, well designed and very open vacation home. Southern Comfort features beautiful airy décor, the five bedrooms are fitting for a larger group or multiple families with two king size bedrooms, two queen bedrooms and one bedroom featuring two twin beds. The main king bedroom suite offers an en-suite bathroom. There is a 1/2 bath off of the living room that can be accessed by one of the queen bedrooms. A separate wing with a king and queen bedroom share a hallway bathroom and the twin bedroom can access the pool/game room full bathroom. The Villa can fit up to 10 guests very comfortable in this generous set up. For your convenience, all linens for your stay are included and long-term stays are permitted. The interior boasts a very open floor plan with plenty of light and space. The kitchen, living room and large dining table with the pool table area features plenty of options to hang out, entertain and still be in the center of entertainment. Upon entering the home, you have a great view of the pool area and lanai. From the large, fully equipped kitchen that is also is open to the game room and hang out area and has direct patio access. Wireless internet, and a washer and dryer are also available for your convenience. Highlights of the outside include: a large lanai waiting to be used for sunbathing, grilling, lounging, al fresco dining with a large table that has plenty of seating for 10 guests, entertaining, swimming in the heated pool, relaxing in the hot tub, or just watching amazing boat traffic. There is a boat dock great for hanging out or for canal fishing or boat docking. Southern Comfort truly has it all. With over four-hundred miles of canals, a plethora of restaurants, nature reserves, and nearby beach towns, this location offers a wide range of activities to suit every guest. I I wish vrbo would publish rough floor plans on rentals. This house did not work for our group.. proximity to bathrooms was not great. Description was accurate but not envisioned. The amount of electricity included (75.00) a week is unrealistic in the Florida heat. The rental is based on a family of 4\. As a family of 10 we paid an extra of $20 per person per day for 6 extras(960.00)for us but none of that is applied to electricity so we ended up being charged an additional $132\. Yes, this was addressed in the “ contract “ we agreed to but it’s extreme. I’m just wanting to inform future renters. We were really careful to keep doors closed etc. The lack of information regarding the operation of stovetop made cooking difficult.. the internet did not reach well on opposite side of house. Be careful on steps to dock. The house was spacious and very clean. Be prepared to take everything with you..salt and pepper were left there but nothing else. The basic supplies were what you expect for a hotel one night only. There are better places to stay in the Cape..Do your research.. I failed to do mine which is why I’m writing this review. We will definitely try to stay here again if it's available. The only issues were that we thought someone was going to come over the 2nd day to go through the house with us but after I sent a picture of the electric meter I realized they weren't. We did have a few questions about the light switches and how to use the hottub/pool controller. We didn't contact the rental company. A couple things to note: There is an extra charge per person if there are more than 4 people-we thought that was odd since it is a 5 bedroom home. If the cooktop won't heat- check your pan, it needs to be a specific kind for it to heat up-we googled the make of the cooktop to figure this out after it kept turning off. A couple doors don't close all the way. The master and another bedroom doors didnt latch closed. Don't leave food on the counters. We put some donuts on the counter and within 15 minutes there were tiny insects/ants?crawling all over them. The house was very clean so I'm not sure if it a pest control issue? Bring your own trash bags- you are expected to take the trash out but there are not any bags to use. There were 5 adults (all over 55 yrs old) in the house and we were gone alot so I'm not sure how but we went over the $75 weekly allowance for the electric bill by about $45. ##### Valerie H. Great location, pool was very nice with a big dock, we rented a boat for a few days so the dock came in handy. PLENTY of room inside and out. We spent most of our time outside sitting around the table while the kids enjoyed the pool. Very quiet neighborhood with a gorgeous view. Hot tub was definitely relaxing. Some nearby restaurants we enjoyed were Duffy's, Two Meatballs in the Kitchen (best Italian food I've ever had) and Boat House Tiki Bar and Grille. ##### Dawn T. The house is super clean and the kitchen very well equipped. We loved everything of this house. We were a party of 11 and we all slept comfortably. The house is super spacious. Birthday Celebration for four days at this Home was fantastic. The home is fully equipped with everything we needed for the stay. I was super impressed with the cleanliness inside and out. The house was perfectly spaces out for big group entertaining, but also allowed that quiet, private down time when you needed it. It was the perfect place to come home to after a hot day out on the water or at the beach to relax, swim and play done pool. We made some wonderful family memories there! ##### Leigh S. Fantastic living room and kitchen with all equipment we needed, the pool table was great fun for our youths and the terasse was used both daytime and night time. The location itself requires a car, there is about 25 minutes drive to Sanibel where we visited 2 times during our stay. 3 minutes drive to food store Publix, and Duffy\`s sports grill, 5 minutes walk away, serves good sports pub food where we went one night. The house is in a quiet and safe area. We did not have any boat when there, however I guess that would have been fun to have a boat available as well. A great place to sit back, relax and forget about your day to day worries. The kitchen is amazing. It includes anything you want to whip up an amazing meal--including an induction stove. Local restaurants, stores and bars are just minutes away. We were so pleased with the rooms which were spacious and comfy. Couldn't have been happier with our choice! ##### Amanda B.
