With direct lake access, paddleboards, hot tub, and firepit, this 4 bedroom, 3 bath lake house is the perfect vacation spot for 14 guests to getaway and make memories that will last a lifetime! The Canary House is pet-friendly as well, so four-legged family members are welcome too! (some restrictions apply)\* Nestled in the rolling Hill Country, this 3-story gem is perfect for your next family vacation! With direct lake access and so many amenities to offer, everyone is sure to find something they love! Walking in through the main doors, guests enter into one of the four bedrooms in the home. Complete with two bunk beds and a flatscreen television, this makes for a perfect kids cove! Guests on this floor also have access to a full bathroom featuring a bathtub/shower combo. Heading upstairs, guests will find the second bedroom complete with two queen beds. This room reminds you of the lake with its soft tones and beautiful lake art! The third bedroom contains a king bed and large windows that allow natural light to pool into the room! The home was absolutely beautiful and clean with great views. Sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. Kitchen was fully stocked with every utensils/dishes needed for any meal. Linens were abundant and beds were comfortable. The staff was amazing and quick to respond to any questions we had regarding the property. We thought we picked a spot a little to far from any entertainment but found a small museum down the road that gave us a very informative tour about the prehistoric life in the area. There were several great hidden gems for food and a few spots had great live bands. While I have to say we didn't make it down to the lake so I can't give any review on that. We did spend a lot of time on the balconies and in the hot tub. Which were both clean and boy did that hot tub work. It was a great way to spend the cool evenings after a long week. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I'd highly recommend the Canary lake house for a great getaway. We saw deer every day and night. Though water is not in this part of the lake at this time— the walk down the back side of the property is still nice. We rented a boat from Cranes Mill marina, (short drive), and had a great time on the lake. Very peaceful and quiet area. Short hike down to the lake, but the lake levels are extremely low. My son went antique bottle hunting. Found bottles from the 60's. Thats how low the lake is. Very clean, plenty of room for everyone, plenty of room to park, great outdoors area with hot tub, corn hole, firepit, and a close walk to the lake. House was 3 stories and everyone felt apart of the get together because all the balconies and the backyard are on the same side so everyone could hear and be apart of the conversations no matter where they were in the house. Very close to the boat ramp as well with plenty of room to park a trailer. A/C worked great to the temperature you set it to. had trouble with the WiFi at the beginning but send out a tech on saturday morning and fix in an hour, so very responsive staff. ##### Alex L. It was a nice gathering space for a girl's trip as the kitchen and living area were open and there were a few outdoor spaces to gather and visit. The evening cooled down, so the hot tub was nice. On the downside, there were cans of paint and tools in the closet of one of the bedrooms leaving little space for our luggage and things, and one of the kitchen drawers stayed constantly open and is need of repair. While the house is close to the lake, I don't see how it is usable. We couldn't use it because we went right after the July 4th floods so hopefully it is more accessible when there isn't flooding. The property mgmt was not that great which was surprising considering we're in TX. I requested a late check-out two days prior to our arrival and was told they would get back to me the next day which they never did. I contacted them again the day before we were scheduled to check out and was told no one was checking in after us but I would still need to call or text them the next morning (the day we were checking out) to find out. If they allowed it, we would only be allowed to extend one hour to 11 am and would need to call them at 9 am that day to find out. So basically, wait until an hour before we have to check out to find out if we could extend it by one additional hour. Exactly like the pictures minus the lake running really low (no one is to blame). The fire pit was my father favorite! Really nice conversational area with plenty of chairs around the pit, Cool front came through, so it was A+! The hot tub was clean and relaxing, also the washer/dryer was handy for having clean dry towels, definitely helpful! The 2nd floor hang out space was so modern and clean; I really liked it came stocked with your basic needs of seasonings & pots etc. Plenty of sleeping space which were spacious. Overall, we highly enjoyed ourselves. We brought our 2 dogs that was able to roam within our space having fun finding sticks and having a large tree to hang under for shade. Check in was a breeze, and having live support from the host was amazing. Really kind helpful folks that were only an email or text away. ##### Capriya C. Needs cleaning attention. The porches were very dirty, not cleaned prior to our arrival. Furniture, doors were dirty, and had another person's dirty black shirt and broken beer bottle. Fire extinguisher sign on porch, but no fire extinguisher. Floors inside weren't swept or mopped prior to our stay...dead bugs. Inside walls need attention. Biggest disappointment was that the lake has been DRIED UP for years! Online description and picture is false advertisement. Property manager was very considerate and helpful via text. Loved the decks on all the floors and enjoyed a few dips in the hot tub. However, cleanliness isn't a priority here. The main floor sofa was filthy (neither of us would even sit on it), as well as the main floor deck furniture, the deck itself, the grill was gross & covered in dirt and grease, etc. It was quite obvious that no one had been there recently to clean or check on the property. Upon our arrival, we had to find a broom and sweep the main floor deck because it was covered in broken glass. There was trash in the outside trash can as well. The hot tub was dirty, but we turned it on and left it on and it cleared up. I did send management photos to let them know of the issues (and that we didn't create the issues) but they were not concerned and did nothing to try to correct the problems. There were zero sheet pans to use to cook things in the oven, which was an issue for us, as we had shopped and planned to cook our dinners at the house. Again, this property is really great but could definitely use some TLC and attention to detail for this to be an outstanding getaway. There was no water in the lake, which was a bummer, but nothing can be done about that. We ate dinner at the local Italian restaurant and it was fantastic. Definitely a must!
