The living room opens out to an expansive covered patio, where you can enjoy your morning coffee or tea while taking in the spectacular sunrise over the lake. You’ll love preparing your favorite home-cooked meals in the unit’s spacious open kitchen, which comes fully equipped with a deep country sink, built-in desk, elegant cabinetry, and all the necessary modern appliances. It was very comfortable and close enough to the lake to enjoy lots of activities. The lake level was very low from the drought, so getting your own boat on the lake can be a challenge until conditions improve. However, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the lake if you do your homework. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the backyard view from the porch. They still had fun since we got to go to our family’s to swim once but I was looking forward to spending more time in the pool. Very sweet owner and loved her art work all throughout the house. Now planning a third stay with another mix of family. What a find! The view is breath taking. The neighborhood is peaceful. We fed as many as 10 deer and 3 foxes from the balcony at one time. The home was spacious and easily accessible for my mother with mobility issues. The view of the lake was lovely and the backyard had lots of wildlife to enjoy. We enjoyed just lounging, talking, and looking at the lake. Unfortunately, the cleanliness wasn’t what we’d expected.. The linens hadn’t been changed for our stay, but Barbara had plenty of clean ones available and we easily found them. The bathrooms also weren’t as clean as we’d have liked (hair in sinks, soap containers had dark gunk under the pumps). The living room furniture also had animal hair on them- I’m guessing a previous guest brought an undeclared animal as Barbara had very clear signage not allowing pets… Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay. Barbara was receptive to our concerns and we look forward to trying her beautiful home again, and if you want a spacious home with a wonderful peaceful view, give her home a try! ##### Erin C. We spent labor day weekend at Babara's house and we loved it! The house was spacious and cleaned with excellent view of Canyon Lake from afar from the back patio. We all enjoyed our time and the scenery. Deer and other wildlife come right up to the back porch and give you a fantastic taste of the outdoors. Kids had a blast! The only con I would say is that the rooms do not have blackout curtains so as soon as the sun comes up, you are up. It would be nice for people that would like to sleep in a bit on their vacation to be able to achieve that with a dark room. Also there is only 1 TV in the whole house so that was a bit of a bummer because some people like to fall asleep watching. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we made some great memories. ##### Donneric B. Each morning and evening we were able to feed deer (up to 7 at one time!) from the back porch, and one evening we even saw a fox. The view of the lake is beautiful from the back porch as well. The house is clean, comfortable and in a good location to serve as “base camp” for our planned activities in New Braunfels and San Antonio. I would recommend this house for anyone looking to stay in the area! ##### Laura F. We stayrd at this property in April of 2023 to attend a local wedding. We chose house based on location, but we're so glad we chose this one. Beautiful property, beautiful views. Barbara was a great host! She provided great recommendations on things to do in the area. Based of the details provided of the local area we were able to rent a boat and enjoy a day on Canyon Lake. ##### John T.
