It was very comfortable and close enough to the lake to enjoy lots of activities. The lake level was very low from the drought, so getting your own boat on the lake can be a challenge until conditions improve. However, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the lake if you do your homework. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the backyard view from the porch. The home was spacious and easily accessible for my mother with mobility issues. The view of the lake was lovely and the backyard had lots of wildlife to enjoy. We enjoyed just lounging, talking, and looking at the lake. Unfortunately, the cleanliness wasn’t what we’d expected.. The linens hadn’t been changed for our stay, but Barbara had plenty of clean ones available and we easily found them. The bathrooms also weren’t as clean as we’d have liked (hair in sinks, soap containers had dark gunk under the pumps). The living room furniture also had animal hair on them- I’m guessing a previous guest brought an undeclared animal as Barbara had very clear signage not allowing pets… Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay.
