The cabin exterior was left in its rustic, original state and its interior was gutted and remodeled. It was a short 20ish minute drive to the park but without all the people and noise. The exterior is pretty rustic and there is very little else around but the inside is really nice and recently renovated. The cabin was exceptionally clean & the location was quiet! The determining factors for us were laundry capabilities, log cabin feel, mountain view’s, quiet/remote location & close to DNP. We were excited to find moose poop outside the cabin (not fresh) so knew they’d be there, but never got the opportunity to see one. There are other cabins on the property & most need some updating but most didn’t appear to occupied during our stay. We definitely recommend this cabin if you’re coming to the area.
