Only stayed one night, but nearly everything about this hotel was very good. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was good, although a little expensive. The only downside was that everywhere in the hotel was very warm. Being only a 10 minute walk into Canterbury, the location could not be faulted.

The staff is very nice and very helpful. They helped look up things to do, bus schedules, and maps. There is a bus stop next to the hotel which makes getting to the city center easy. You can also walk to the city center but the bus is nice. The restaurant attached to the hotel is lovely and the food was nice. If you don't like old and cute than this is not a hotel for you.

We arrived very early and wanted to leave the car and walk into town. Unfortunately it was raining but we were very kindly offered coffee and a sofa whilst it eased off. The owners were extremely helpful in every way and could not have been nicer.
What I didn't know when I was booking this place was that guests had to check in at a sister hotel which is about 10 minutes away on foot near the castle. There is no reception in this hotel.
But the staff members at both hotels were very helpful and friendly. I got a lift to the Peregrine house from the check in and there were two breakfast options; continental breakfast at the Peregrine or cooked breakfast at the sister hotel.
Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
This ancient city lies on the River Stour, where visitors can enjoy a tranquil riverboat tour of the town which is home to a host of World Heritage Sites. Having survived the bombings of WWII, the magnificent cathedral has a spectacular history and offers audio and guided tours for visitors wanting to learn more about the area's fascinating past.
