Close to the cathedral and city centre but very quiet and absolutely charming.There is a lovely garden out front and a deck with a BBQ and back yard out back. The downstairs has a living room, dining room, sun-filled kitchen, and bathroom with shower. There are two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with tub and shower upstairs.There is a Waitrose just around the corner for all of your shopping needs.Do visit the cathedral and abbey and take the opportunity to attend choral evensong at 5:30 pm. The location is excellent, 5-10 minutes' walk from downtown and the cathedral, and even closer to Augustine's Abbey. The long walk along the river has some beautiful parks and then open countryside and is a nice break from the crowds on the high street. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed lunches in the back yard with sandwiches from nearby Phoebe's.
