Watch the sunset over the Sangre de Cristo mountains from this 1,500 square foot house positioned high above the Arkansas River. Your group or family can spread out in the three bedrooms, two baths, and enjoy the large fireplace, panoramic views, open dining area, and secluded outdoor patio. A full kitchen is at your disposal with included spices, coffee, tea and sugar. A propane BBQ grill is available right outside the kitchen door. Guest access The lodge is located outside of the Bridge attraction so guests are free to come and go as they please. Check-in is inside the Visitor Center. Guests receive free admission to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park during their stay. After hours check-in is at the Ranger post at the North end of the Visitor Center. Extensive hiking and biking trails are a short walk from the house. There is ample parking. Dogs are welcome. Pet fee applies if you have more than 2. Do not leave dogs unattended inside or outside the house. Be aware that the area has cactus! Please pick up and dispose of waste. Wifi is available, however this is a remote location and some US carriers do not have sufficient coverage is this area. AT&T and Verizon work best here. You are the ONLY house within the Royal Gorge. And the view is simply spectacular. There is TONS of space in the common area which was great for our group. The kitchen was fully stocked and beyond (loved the tea and coffee setup :). Probably the best communication and hospitality from any VRBO host I've ever had. The fireplace is huge and really nice. The windows are amazing. Very impressed. A bonus that it is pet friendly and we could bring our dog along. This is actually owned by the Royal Gorge and the only property within the park - makes you feel like a VIP! You get free entrance into the park. My only complaint was the lack of a communication channel to resolve questions regarding the property.
