The breakfast was absolutely amazing. I ate dinner one night as well which was also beautiful. The room I had was only a double yet was massive! The room was fairly basic but the building and the surroundings where lovely, I can see why they do alot of weddings. The staff members were all very friendly amd I will deffinately be staying again.
The place seemed so lovely. My room was so cold. There was only one radiator for the whole room and it was a large room. I had the thermostat on high but was doing nothing. The bathroom radiator never stayed on.
The choice of food was quite poor and massively over priced.
No mention that the restraunt service was not available either during booking or check in. In addition a much reduced breakfast service, disappointing.
Arrived at a locked gate. Rang bell and expected to be greeted.. the gate just opened.
Got to reception and immediately told that there was no food available - there is a restaurant down the road. Would have been nice to have been advised that this was the case.
Room was ok… a little dated, but practical.
Very nice hotel, secure car park with electric gates.
I ended up in the suite which was very spacious. Bit of a pain to have to go up and down stairs to the bathroom
Red flashing light in a bedroom is brilliant but need put more red flashing lights in some rooms
And I have been watching as a customer who was kept waiting in the bar as a person behind the bar was disappearing for a long time as the customer wants to eat something in the evening that is not acceptable thumb down for one member of staff who was disappearing from the bar

Ideal position Good value!
Stayed here before approximately a year ago. Tried to book again but no rooms available. Found alternative accommodation but higher price - this spoilt me!
I would stay at Oak Farm again for the value for money factor. I enjoyed the food but would have liked the heated food in the breakfast bar to have been much warmer!!
I particularly enjoyed the secure parking for anyone with kitted out vehicles and also the immediate access onto the A5 and M6 - Road noise virtually nil so not a problem!!
Staff were excellent and the room was warm and bed was comfy - thanks!
Weather freezing outside -5C, warm welcome as usual and only myself in the restaurant but chef very accommodating, his chips are fantastic, overall the Gammon was super.
Only negative was the hotel was cool, and the room thermostatic valve would not allow the bedroom to warm up, it was too cold.
Arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday evening after a day of business meetings to find they don’t serve food on an evening over the weekend. Then TV in the room didn’t work. Got to sleep to be woken by the base from the disco. Then partygoers returning to their room at 3am. Then the room next door being intimate. Not the best night.
As a room/accommodation/breakfast. it was fine, but I don’t believe they should book out rooms to guests who aren’t attending the functions over the weekend.
I went out of the property so asked at reception about regaining entry at night and was told there was a night porter so it was fine I’d be able to get in fine. I actually got back about 10 was dropped off in a taxi but was standing in the rain a while pressing the buzzer but was not let in, I only gained entry when someone else was leaving and opened the gate from the inside. There was a function going on till about midnight and my room was located the floor above it, it was quite noisy as were other guests so that wasn’t great and perhaps I should have been made aware by the hotel having booked or checking in to see how I felt about that as I was not there for the function I was there as I had a christening to attend in the morning and had a long drive to go to it. Otherwise it was clean and the receptionist who checked me in was pleasant and the breakfast was very good.
The hotel was convenient from the M6.
Check-in was efficient and we were told of a local restaurant which provided to be good advice. Ego was lovely and only a short walk away, albeit it wasn't a very picturesque walk (along the A5).
The room was spacious and the shower good.
Security was good with the property gates closed once all guests had checked in and the night porter providing access when we got back after our meal using intercom.
Breakfast was good self service.
Would definitely use again to break trip down south !
